Didn't see it myself but on fb the other night there was a thread
About tv Producer saying the this (see below)

He said something on the lines of this
This may not be word for word but on his fFacebook page went something like this

What do I think of internet spoilers we'll they remind me of
Glue sniffers of late 70s or kids who hung outside McDonald's
In 80s in other words no marks with no real life. Who life's revolve round trying to find out future plots mainly soaps
Goes on to say they are lower than vermin who have no life
Outside an electronic gadget

Tbh he does have a point I hate seeing or reading about who's gonna die or get married etc
But wouldn't go far as that

Then goes on to Say

a very well known forum put a plot up and what they didn't know us we had 5 endings so that was their sad little life ended

Not sure but think it may be the Dr who producer
But Don't quote me on that, no idea of forum or programme
As according to my Facebook page (which a friend of Mine is a friend) bit Thsts all I know
They don't watch soaps so just asked me, but it's all vague
To me, does the Dr who producer sound about right?

Hmm, I would be very suspicious of this. Hearsay, from an unseen quote on facebook? Chinese whispers. a few months ago, a rumour got out on Facebook that a village near where I live was being searched for terrorists, due to several helicopters circulating overhead and 'police everywhere.' Turned out it was the normal number of police out on patrol, and the RAF helicopter helping the mountain rescue find a missing hillwalker. A sight which is commo enough around here, so goodness knows how that happened But since that I treat anything unverified on Facebook with a pinch of salt.

Quite sad but wouldn't go as far as the op though

If it's on facebook it's got to be true!

I have no idea . I don't watch Dr Who . Purely because it's rubbish.

You see it's strange , I'm a massive Sci-Fi fan but I've never liked Dr Who . Just can't get on with him at all.

He comes across as a bit of a bell-end

When it comes to Sci-Fi , be it TV or films , the lead character needs to be strong and confident . Ripley in Aliens or O'Neale in Stargate . Or Capt Picard . People that take the lead and not spend the entire show running away with a flashing screwdriver

There's nothing wrong seeing a young man run around with his screwdriver in his hand.....

A big part of Doctor Who's appeal *is* the lack of macho bollocks.

Yeah, that sounds like Steven Moffat, Doctor Who's producer. That was a couple of years ago when he said that though.

No, I've not seen White House Down. That genuinely did happen amongst local people on Facebook - it even got a mention in the local paper No one needs to read spoilers if they don't want to. I like them, personally. It sounds like this person was having a bad day, if they really said that. Either that or they've got a chip on their shoulder. I think sometimes the problem is the tv mags take spoilers and run wild with them. ds' spoilers seem a bit more accurate. But facebook and twitter are magnets for chinese whispers.

Saying that, I can imagine some of the Dr who fans might get a bit carried away with spoilers - unlike us soap fans who are nice, rational people

sorry, I'm not a fan of dr Who since christopher ecclestone left, but am willing to give it a go with Peter Capaldi.

Sometimes spoilers can actually increase the number of viewers. Some might read about a plot which sounds interesting and watch it to see how it was handled, when they wouldn't normally watch.

For instance, some will watch the current Corrie story about Hayley having terminal cancer to see if it is true to life and handled sensitively. Or to see if plot such as Jim MacDonald robbing a bank is as farcical as it sounds.
