'Sin Eater' is on next Wednesday here. The episode with James Frain. 'John Doe' was aired last night. I see Ken Olin directed 'Sin Eater'. Didn't realise he'd moved into directing.
Just want to be sure I have a correct lag time between what we get here in Texas and when it is your viewing there. I saw "Sin Eater" here Mon 11-4-13 and you'll get to see it there a week from our Wed, 11-6 one Wed.11-13-13 which will be 9 days later. Correct?

Yes Sin Eater airs here Weds 13th November and it airs the same night each week over here so we will always be at least that far behind

Can I just ask why do you post in the UK pace thread why not post in the US pace one where you won't have to worry about spoilers? (that's not to say your not welcome to post here I was just wondering )

I really wanted Roanoke to be real - in the present.

Loved the packaging problems for Ichabod, and the Detective digging into his references.....who was on the other end of the phone, backing up his story - did I miss something.

And my Katrina, trapped in purgatory.

Nobody wants to point and laugh at the show for trying to make people believe that colonists from late 16th century England spoke Middle English? There's "cavalier about historical fact" -- and I'm fine with that -- and then there is something as dumb as that. It is a particularly clunky revision of history since it seemed so clearly contrived to make it necessary for Ichabod to communicate with the boy personally.

As you say this language "hook" to the last episode was plain stupid and done simply to make Icabod needed to interrogate the boy.

@Stansfield. I am not alone then in wondering what happened about the phone call. I was wondering if I have missed a plot point, can anyone say what it was?.....

The next episode doesn't DIRECTLY answer that question, but something is introduced that one can easily imagine "covering Ichabod's back," so to speak.

There I was, thinking I had missed something - will be interesting who is on the other end of the line.

Hi Natalie77, thanks for asking the question as I am sure it is confusing but it's also real simple too. As has been shared before at 70 years old I am not very computer savvy, particualary when it comes to, blogs, forums, or threads, and it took me a while to find my way around well enough to even know there were two places I could go to. I stumbled on this site quite by accident because I was looking for a thread that would be sharing information/thoughts on the new Jack Bauer program on FOX "24-Live Another Day" starting next spring. They are filming now in London so when I saw this forum on a show I watch and like I began reading it and wanted to respond to a couple of things. Which was how I learned about what a spoiler alert is by accident and that TV lag time is days not hours as in time difference. Just discovered the other one for the U.S. last week when I got up enough courage to begin clicking on a few things to see what they were. I was curious about an NCIS thread. At times I am feeling a bit like I've fallen down the rabbit hole and am at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

Really like your post Judy-H....

My whole life is like a Mad Hatters Tea Party.

For info on 24-Live Another Day...try following them on Twitter, if you're on that.

Hi Stansfield, thank you for you kind remarks, makes me feel a little less awkward in this world that makes oceans truly seem like "ponds" and is rather amusing when my friends tell me how their 8 year old grandchild helps with their computer problems!

Must also confess to not knowing the first thing about twitter and am not sure I am ready to take on another new electronic thing. Think I 'll just keep watching a couple of sites I occasionally peruse through. I am sure the closer we get to showtime and especially after the holidays things will begin to firm up in that area.

Brace yourselves over there because "Sleepy Hollow" got really interesting tonight with the new "rabbit trail" our friend Ichobod went off on! And Mercy next week looks like a "granny knot" of a rabbit trail to be on. This show is just facinating to me the way they weave history, inuendo, and perhaps "Urban Legen" all into a 50 minute show give or take when you factor in commercials to get it up to a full hour.

Best to stick to the sites you know.

Great episode last night with more of Cranes & Katrina's back story plus the Mason's and Arthur Bernard....did get a bit confusing, but I think I got it....Mr Parish to the Rescue.

And the Colonel from Spartacus {Craig Parker}.

Did like the scene were Abbie explained all to Captain Irving, and where she needs the help of Jenny - and he agrees...Did like them Teaming up again.

Lots of Katrina too.

I saw a small advert in the tv guide for this a few weeks back and thought I would give it a try. I'm so glad I did, it's escapist tv at it's best; well acted, and with a great mix of drama, humour and special effects. It's such a shame it's not on terrestial tv to give it a wider viewing audience; it would be a hit for whichever station picked it up.

I agree with Cupofteatime. It's a great shame this isn't on one of the terrestrial channels. It's a good quality drama which deserves more exposure. The makers believe in it, and it's been given a 2nd series.

Some of the stories don't make sense but surprisingly to myself I quite like it. It's nice hour to waste away.

The Hotchixxx online video chat site that Ichabod accidentally stumbled across was hilarious. "Thank you madam I am flattered but I am espoused to another"

Ichabod had some great lines in this episode. The two rants about the tap water, the stockpile of provisions, the museum guide's misinformation; the writers really capture his bewilderment and annoyance, but never belittle him. The look of horror in his expression when he thought he might have to use the net again.....priceless

Loving the rants - more please...."Were you charged a fee for that water? My God it should be an inalienable right."

Pleased they've got the headless Horseman, for now - but what an episode for beheading's and the Lab shoot-out - with the Machine gun.
And the scenes with the indestructible Skull, and trying to destroy it - was Fun.
Plus Andy came back.

I am with you all the way on this one Stansfield, his rants were priceless; that wonderful dry British humor. My dad was born near London as were his older siblings and I remember it most in my grandparents. Ichobod has their marvelous stiff upper lip as well, no matter the situation. With the skull smashing scene or at least trying to I expected Indianna Jones to ride in at any moment with the secret of how to destroy the skull.

At the end of it all I sit in my stunned, smirking, silence thinking I actually have gotten it, and then laugh outloud as I realize I need to watch it again to catch what I missed. I tried sharing a point in it I thought my daughter would find amusing only to realize the explanation of everything leading up to what I wanted to share was truly worse than falling down a rabbit hole. I was already at the teaparty with my proper half a cup of tea and she would think her dear old mom had slipped over the edge. Maybe she does need medicating!

This is such a good show and so cool!

I noticed that Universal have next weeks episode as the 'mid season finale' but that's not correct as there is still another episode to air in the US this year I wonder why they are ending it before the US are

Maybe they want to run it all the way through when it returns without any more breaks like they have in the US.

But when it returns in the US in the new year there'll be 3 more episodes only before its finished so there won't be anymore breaks?

Well, I did not expect Abraham to be the Headless Horseman. Lots more of Ichabod's background story being revealed in this episode too.
