Based on the preview clip, I can see Peggy coming back
She seems to be really annoyed that Phil is losing controll of the Mitchell Empire, and wants to get back to organise it. It may just be hope that she can come back and save the show but that does seem to imply (along with her getting a post credits clip) that she may hang around for longer, especially if she like DTC

It's definitely given Babs and the audience an appetite for more Peggy I think.
I would love to see her back. |

I felt her ITV interview really seemed to indicate that she is already signed up for a return on a part time basis. The way she was speaking really sounded like she was part of the team again and wasn't just judging from an outsiders perspective.
I believe she said "we" have a new boss in place? |

I cant see her returning full time ever again Barbara is 76 now and she has said how difficult she finds the grueling filming schedules. However she has expressed her delight at being back and how much she loves the show so if they offered her more guest appearances i'm sure she'd be up for it. Maybe she could return again at Christmas with Aunt Sal for Christmas dinner at Phil's.

It's understandable that Babs is reluctant to return full time, EastEnders has a gruelling schedule particularly for a lady of her age. However, I'm sure they can accommodate ample time off for her, in a similar fashion to Patsy Palmer's regular breaks. I'd even be happy with occasional guest appearances from Peggy, like Frank Butcher did in 1995-97 and the early 00s.

I'm expecting them to reveal she will return but on a semi regular bases.
Be so funny if her scene on the Square tonight ends with ''I'll be back'' loool |

As I said, they can do it on a part time basis. If they don't place her back in the Vic, they can easily work a schedule to accommodate her meaning she'll only be involved if the storyline calls for it.

I reckon she could work a similar schedule to June Brown who is 86.

Babs was very honest about the state of EastEnders and truthful about Pam St Clements exit from the show.
The show is over run with younger characters at the moment and DTC has to rectify that. Some Peggy/Cora scenes would be good. |

I dunno why she can't work a good schedule at her age objectively though. I mean I know that it can vary based on the person but June is still very strong at her age, and Pam, thuogh younger than both, was still quite into it |

She doesn't need to come back to the Vic full time, that's what I'm saying really. Ronnie and Roxy could run it on her behalf for the most part but they could wheel her out for the BIG episodes such as Christmas etc...

If Peggy were to come back, I think she would need to start afresh away from the Vic. She has enough family on the square to make a return plausible, but I think when she walked away from the Vic after the fire, that ended that chapter.
Not really sure what her place in the square would be if she did return, her life was dominated by the Vic before. Still a place for her though I think. |
