Because in my honest opinion it is getting boring. Sally wants to do something with Tim, he "agrees" but doesn't look interested. Sally is disappointed when he doesn't show interest or goes ahead with her idea. Sophie goes on about how Sally should just leave Tim and Sally agrees, only for Tim to drop another suggestion with Sally instantly takes him back and completely forgets, cue Sophie's eye rolling and more whining.

Can the writers just get on with it. What exactly are they doing with Tim. Are they just dragging him out until Kevin returns?

We don't see him making much effort to spend time with his daughter either. He seems like a bit of a spare part at the moment.

I'm not too sure what's happening with it, I have to admit I am enjoying seeing Sally trying to act all "casual" though and not being able to do it hopefully the story will move on from there soon though?

I actually think Tim and Sally would make a really good, interesting couple. And I'd rather she didn't get back with Kevin when he returns as it would feel like a backwards step with regards to her character. I want to see her move on and try and make things work with Tim. And Kevin to come back with a new partner in tow.

Totally agree NathanJohnson. The situation has potential - comic, sad or otherwise - but the writers seem unsure where to go with it and are just biding their time. Yet again, Tim is this neutral figure whose true feelings or character are never shown. In 6 months or however long he's been in the show, all we know of him is he likes to eat, drink and get his leg over. And he's vaguely interested in keeping in touch with his daughter. Even Sally would demand a little more from someone than that.

All he does is ask Sally out for a drink.

bib: Understandable, as said daughter is Faye.

Tim only wants to be a friend with benefits.

The writers are probably gearing up for Sally to reunite with Kevin, yet again, at some point anyhow.

Tim comes across to me as a bit of an amiable loser. Kind of lazy, so is inclined to take the easiest option. He doesn't seem suitable for Sally at all, what with her pretensions. There is some comedy in the situation as it is, but I agree it all seems to be meandering aimlessly at the moment.

agree the character is going nowhere fast.

Also why is sally so desperate? She's a beautiful woman with her own house and money in the bank
Men would be swarming around her. Why so desperate?

Why would she pick someone like Tim? She's a snob and it doesn't wash with her hyacinth bouquet persona!

I have always wondered what the point of Tim was. Right from the beginning the role was unclear. This often happens then we begin to see what the plan is but I think in Tim's case the character's potential has been really wasted. It's definitely not an acting issue because I've seen him in other things before. It's almost as if they had one idea then had to drop it and left him just to drift around.

It is amusing seeing him with Sally but he really isn't her type at all, she has pretensions so always goes for other blokes with a bit of power or influence. (Apart from Kevin obviously!)

Weeks ago, Debbie Rush (Anna) said that his story would get 'very dark'. No sign of that so far.

IMO, this is all about the missing actors. Perhaps Kevin was meant to be involved in this storyline. Perhaps his time has been extended to fill dead air, now that various plans have had to be scrapped.

Kevin will soon show him the door. Pointless waste of space. & writing this for Sally is totally out of character she would NEVER go anywhere near a bloke like that, Sally looks down on people like Tim. THAT'S SALLY. talk about acting for the script & not the character. FOR SHAME.

I think the whole storyline was to fill the gap that Kevin left, now he will be returning I can see them starting to see more of each other again.

Exactly, and Tim is way hotter too.

Maybe she fancies a little bit of rough? Opposites attract and all that.

why are corrie writers missing something quite obvious, sally has £100000 in the bank. Why not have jason casually mention this. Tim then suddenly be interested and slowly start fleecing her of her money. Eventually leaving her with nothing just in time for kevin to come back to corrie and kevin pick up the pieces.

Good one! Typical of Tim's character and also Sally's desperation - a man at any price, and it could be a high one.

It would make a good story line, but Tim appears to be too lazy. To devise a scheme like this needs thinking, unless suddenly he is given a new personality.

This is just tiresome over exaggerated filler until Kevin gets back. Sally is a very attractive lady with her own home and money in the bank and knowing her sassy disposition it just does not ring true that she would let this gnome lookalikey use her in this way or she would come across as so desperate - I mean if you looked like Eileen then you may be but not our Sal. He is a pretty pointless character that doesnt seem to do anything much but 'go for a pint'.

I definitely get the sense that Tim would probably have exited by now (at the end of the abandoning Faye story) had it not been for Kevin's absence. It's not a bad idea but as is common with soaps it's done really badly - are we really to believe that someone with Sally's experiences under her belt is THAT stupid?
