Hey.

I've been reading all of the fanfictions (especially the EastEnders ones) intently over the past few weeks and I think that they look like a lot of fun to do.

Especially with a show like EastEnders, it's interesting to see what kind of direction people would take the show in if they were in charge, so I'll be using this to get my vision of the show across.

I'll try and update regularly, the first episode is already written and I will be posting it shortly.

I hope you enjoy.

Ronnie is reluctant to let Phil start working back at the club so soon after leaving hospital but Phil insists and tells Ronnie he is a big boy and he can look after himself, saying that he needs to protect the club from Carl. Ronnie disagrees and says that she and Sharon were managing, and Phil needs to rest. Phil tells Ronnie he’s fine and he doesn’t need people fussing over him.

Lola interrupts Phil's and Ronnie’s conversation, and tells them both to be at the Vic for 6 as she wants to throw Phil a welcome home party. Phil says that there’s no need as he doesn’t want a fuss to be made, but Lola insists.

A glamorous woman in business attire enters the Archers and asks Dexter and Jay to fix her car as it won’t start. The woman asks Jay how long it will take as she has a business meeting to get to, and Jay tells her she can pick her car up in the morning. The woman moans and says that it’s no good as she needs to leave tonight, so Dexter says that they’ll have it ready for her by 6pm. The woman thanks Dexter and reveals her name to be Sandra. She then leaves. Once Sandra has left, Jay says he can’t work on the car today as he has to be at Phil’s party, so Dexter will have to work on it alone.

Kirsty is having a drink in the café when Carl enters. Kirsty sees and altercation between Ian and Carl, as Carl tells Ian that he wants this week’s payment. Ian is reluctant to hand the money over, telling him business has been slower than usual at the café, however Carl stands firm and Ian hands over the money from the till. Once Carl has left, Kirsty goes over to Ian and asks him what Carl wanted. Ian lies and tells Kirsty that it’s just businesses, but Kirsty can tell that Ian is close to breaking.

Over at The Vic, Alfie receives a phone call from Anthony. Roxy notices Alfie’s sudden change of mood as he ends the phone call and asks Alfie what’s wrong. Alfie tells Roxy that Tyler has been involved in an accident abroad. Roxy suggests that Alfie goes to visit Tyler, but Alfie tells Roxy it wouldn’t be fair to leave her holding the fort alone. Roxy says she won’t be alone as she has Tracy and Kirsty. Alfie gives Roxy a kiss on the cheek and leaves to arrange a flight.

Sandra enters the Vic and orders a drink. She goes to sit alone whilst she gets on with some work whilst she wait for her car to be fixed. Joey goes over to Sandra and tries to flirt with her, but Sandra tells Joey she’d have boys like him for breakfast.

Phil enters the Vic and sees Lola, Billy, Sharon and Ronnie all at a table. They all cheer when he enters and Roxy asks Phil what he wants to drink. Phil orders an orange juice and goes to sit with the party.

Dexter enters the Vic and sees Sandra. He tells her that he’s fixed her car and hands her the car keys. Sandra thanks Dexter and writes him a cheque. She then gathers her belongings and begins to leave.

Lola gets up to go to the bar, and bumps into Sandra making her drop papers all over the floor. Lola bends down to pick the papers up and tells Sandra to watch where she’s going next time. She looks up to hand Sandra the papers.
“Mum!” A shocked Lola says.

Thank you, it didn't look so long when I originally typed it up. The arrival of Lola's mum is something I've wanted to do ever since I started thinking about doing one of these.

I'm glad you started one. Always remember to let your ideas roam free, write down whatever good storylines come into your head, it doesn't matter if they're slightly unrealistic, it's only a fanfic, after all. Just thought I'd give you some tips.

Thanks for the tips.

I don't think you can be unrealistic when it comes to EastEnders, Kat turning into a dragon is more realistic than Ronnie being allowed to live on the Square where she kidnapped a child (and this is coming from a Ronnie fan!)

Thank you. I'll probably post the next episode tomorrow, but until then they'll be an introduction to the character of Sandra and maybe even an interview about my vision for the show.

I'll have a read of yours now.

And by the way, Dancing Queen, I'm updating my fanfic tomorrow, if you want to have a read of it and give feedback, it'd be much appreciated.

Sandra Pearce met her husband Dan at university. Following a number of affairs on both sides, Sandra and Dan finally spit up and went their seperate ways.

Ten years later, they crossed paths again and were both ready to settle down. As a travelling businesswoman, Sandra didn't want children as she wanted to put her career first. When she unexpectedly fell pregnant, she went to have an abortion but couldn't go through with it and eventually gave birth to a baby girl called Lola.

Sandra wasn't ready to be a mum, and would often go out partying or go on long business trips abroad meaning time with her daughter and husband was sparse.

When Lola was 5 years old, Sandra walked out on Dan and Lola, and never contacted them again.

Sandra is now ready to be a mum to Lola, although Lola isn't ready to let her mum back into her life.

Hello! Your first episode only recently aired and you've already brought in Lola's mum, is there any more new arrivals for us to look forward to?
Hey! With Sandra, it was just about getting my vision for the show on the screen as soon as possible. As with every new character, there's a whole family unit behind them that we may or may not explore. I'm not saying we're definitely going to, but it's something I'd like to explore.

What kind of direction do you plan on taking the show in?
I've seen people over the last few months posting comments on social network sites saying 'I'm bored' or 'Nothing is happening', and that's one thing I really want to change. I want to make people want to watch EastEnders, and by doing that the plots will have to be strong and entertaining for the viewers to watch.

Can we have a hint as to what kind of storylines we'll be seeing?
Especially with the bigger storylines, they kind of need to have some sort of build up. But there'll be a few big storylines coming up in the Autumn and Winter that will hopefully go down well. It;s all about getting the balance right, there'lll be some sadder storylines as well as some happy ones.

Is a Kat and Alfie reunion on the cards?
No, it's not. Not for the moment, anyway. Kat works well as a stand alone character and Alfie is with Roxy at the minute. I think [putting them back together] is a step backwards for the show and for the characters.

Will Peggy be returning to take over The Vic?
Barbara [Windsor] is welcome to come back whenever she likes, but there's no plans for a return at the moment. The Vic may be getting some new owners soon...

Hey, this is looking good, DQ! Very good backstory with Sandra, and I hope we see a developing relationship between them both. A storyline idea for you could be to use the whole returning parent thing as a way to unite Lola and Dexter cos they'll know exactly how each other are feeling!

Also I'm glad you're not reuniting Kat and Alfie. I'm debating whether I will in my one or not.

Hope you take a look at mine too! Well done.

Lola storms out of the Vic in tears, having finally seen her Mum for the first time in years. Sandra attempts to chase her, but Billy stops Sandra and goes after Lola himself. Phil suggests that Sandra leaves the Square.

As everyone else in the Vic is distracted by Sandra’s revelation, Roxy sneaks over to Ronnie and tells Ronnie that Alfie is going away for a while to look after Tyler. Roxy tells Ronnie that as soon as Alfie is gone they can start meeting each other more often. Ronnie tells Roxy that she’s missed her.

In the café, Kirsty continues to pile the pressure onto Ian. Kirsty tells Ian that she will control Carl and keep him away from Ian if Ian is prepared to withdraw his witness statement. Kirsty can tell that Ian is about to confess all about Carl’s blackmail, but they are interrupted by Peter. Peter can tell that Ian is about to crack, so asks Kirsty to leave.

Lola sits with her back to the door, knees against her chest, rocking back and forth as tears stream down her face. Lola hears a knock on the door, but is relieved to hear Billy’s voice and lets him in.

Peter closes the café and sits down with Ian, who is clearly in a very fragile state. Ian confesses to Peter that he never saw Max tamper with the breaks, and reveals that Carl blackmailed him into saying it. Peter is shocked, but promises to stand by his Dad.

Dexter is delighted to hear that he is a match for Sam’s kidney operation, and suggests to Ava and Sam that they go out for a meal to celebrate. Ava is insistent that Dexter will not donate Sam his kidney, saying that he is too young. Dexter argues back and says that it makes sense as he is a match, and it could be ages until they find someone else who is suitable. Dexter tells Ava that it’s Sam’s decision as to whether or not Dexter donates his kidney, and Sam says that he might survive long enough to wait for another match.

Kirsty is determined to get Max out of prison, and knowing it’s the only way to get through to Carl, gives his Mum Nora a call…

Back in Lola’s and Billy’s flat, Billy tells Lola that Sandra had no right to turn up in the Square, and that Phil is dealing with it. Lola gets up off of the floor and rushes out into the Square, not yet ready to let her Mum slip away for a second time.

Sandra goes to her car and gets in, ready to drive away. Tears stream down her face as she starts to drive. Suddenly, Lola appears in front of the car, banging on the windscreen. Sandra gets out of the car, and Lola and Sandra share a long, loving hug.

Roxy and Kat stand outside the Vic to wave Alfie off, as he heads abroad to visit an injured Tyler in hospital. Alfie drives away and Kat and Roxy grin and wave. As soon as Alfie’s driven away, Kat’s smile drops and Kat asks Roxy if she plans on seeing Ronnie whilst Alfie is away. Roxy breaks down in tears, and tells Kat that she doesn’t know how much longer she can go on as Ronnie is her sister. Kat tells Roxy to stop pushing Ronnie away.

Peter and Lucy become even more suspicious of Cindy Junior when she comes downstairs with a new handbag. Peter realises that it must have been Cindy who stole the money, but instead of confronting her, waits for her to leave. Once she’s left for school, Peter airs his suspicions to Lucy, who agrees to help Peter look for the money.

Following their emotional reunion last night, Sandra wakes up on the sofa at Billy’s having spent the night there. She is startled to see Billy staring at her. Billy asks Sandra what she is doing back in Walford, and Sandra tells Billy that she just wants to be a part of her daughter’s life again. Billy doesn’t believe Sandra, but Lola interrupts before he can question her some more. Billy asks Lola if he can have a word, and Sandra says she knows when she’s not wanted, before getting up and going to have a shower.

Lauren and Abi are watching a movie when there is a knock at the door. Abi goes to answer the door, and Jake is revealed to be the man on the other side of the door. Jake asks Abi if Lauren is in, and Abi tells Lauren there is someone at the door. Lauren is shocked to see Jake stood on her doorstep. Lauren gives Abi some money and tells her to go and buy some more popcorn. Abi sighs, but sees that Lauren wants to talk to Jake so agrees and reluctantly leaves. Lauren shuts the door and asks Jake what he is doing in Walford. Jake tells Lauren that she forgot her phone the other night. Lauren thanks Jake, and just as he is about to leave, asks him to stay.

Billy asks Lola how she’s feeling about Sandra’s arrival. Lola tells Billy that she’s angry with Sandra for walking out on her all of those years ago, but says she’s hiding her real feelings in case Sandra leaves again. Billy tells Lola that he thinks it’s best Sandra leaves, and Lola is shocked. Lola then realises that Billy is jealous of Sandra as he has been looking after her and he is worried that Lola will like Sandra more than him. Lola tells Billy he will always be her number one.

The Beale’s house has been turned upside down by Lucy and Peter as they search for the missing money. They give up and sit down on the sofa. Just as Peter sits down, he feels something down the side of the cushion. He sticks his hand down the side, and is shocked when he pulls out an envelope of money.

Doof doof: Peter Beale

Thanks for your feedback. The story of Lola's mother is one I'm surprised EastEnders have yet to tackle, so I'm really enjoying being able to right it myself.

As for Kat and Alfie, they're both better off without each other. Kat as a character has come on leaps and bounds since they've split, and as a big Kat fan I wouldn't want to waste her by putting her back with Alfie.

I've read yours, it's very good.

Cindy arrives home from school to discover the Beale household completely trashed. Peter and Lucy pretend that the house has been burgled, when really it was them who trashed the house whilst looking for the money that Cindy had stolen. Lucy says that she will go get Ian, and walks to the front door. She opens the door, before shutting it again, making it seem like she’s left when really she’s still inside. Peter also makes his excuses to leave the living room, saying he’ll go and phone the police.

With Lucy and Peter out of the living room, Cindy goes to the sofa where the money was hidden. She is shocked when she can’t find the money, and frantically begins to search through the mess. Lucy and Peter reenter and ask Cindy what she’s looking for. Cindy lies and says she’s looking for her phone. Lucy asks Cindy if she’s sure she’s not looking for something else, maybe some money or something. Cindy insist that she’s not, but Peter pulls the envelope from his back pocket.

Lola and Sandra finally get time to themselves when Billy takes Lexi for a walk. Sitting on the sofa, Lola asks why Sandra walked out on her. Sandra tries to explain, saying that all she ever wanted was to be a successful businesswoman, and when she was offered the chance, she took it. Lola asks Sandra why she never came back, and Sandra says that she was scared. Sandra then says that although she’s not excusing what she did, she’s sure that if Lola was offered a once in a lifetime opportunity, she would take it, no matter who she would hurt. Lola is furious and tells Sandra that her baby was almost taking off of her, and she did everything she could to get her back, saying she would never abandon her child.

Abi returns home with a bag full of popcorn, and hears giggling from the living room. She is shocked to see that Jake is still there. Jake quickly makes is excuses and leaves, leaving Lauren with some explaining to do…

At Scarlett’s, Janine and Danny enjoy a meal together and discuss their plans for the gym. Janine is shocked to see Alice and Michael enter the restaurant together. Janine asks Michael who is looking after Scarlett, and Michael tells Janine that he has left her in the capable hands of Ronnie. Janine storms out, leaving Danny alone to pay the bill. Michael looks pleased with himself.

Janine bangs on Phil’s door. Ronnie answers and Janine barges her way past her. Janine searches for Scarlett, and asks Ronnie what she has done with her daughter. Ronnie insists that she hasn’t even Scarlett, but Janine doesn’t believe her and says that if she’s even laid a finger on her daughter, she will kill her. Janine gets ready to phone the police, but looks out of the window and sees Dot pushing Scarlett’s pram around the Square. Janine is relieved, and leaves Phil’s. Ronnie sarcastically shouts after Janine, who hasn’t even apologised.

Lola's and Sandra’s argument intensifies when Sandra suggests that Lola’s Dad Dan was to blame for her walking out. Lola says that although her Dad was a lot of things, at least he never walked out on his family. Lola starts becoming aggressive towards Sandra, shouting and getting into Sandra’s face. Sandra slaps Lola around the face and tells Lola to have some respect for her mother. Billy enters just as Sandra slaps Lola, and throws her out.

Billy slams the door and Lola breaks down in tears in his arms.

Doof doof: Lola Pearce
