Nope......I think it was around that period and area (it was my first reference to Bohemia) but as for the actual family name.....I had no idea. Then I got curious and had to google the answer! Sorry.

Full marks to anyone who knows the name. I've just read it and I still think I'd struggle to reproduce it now.

Couldn't even really have an educated guess. Had a few wild ones - all wrong. Got curious again so googled the answer.

If I'd seen this thread earlier I'd be able to say what colour houses are at monopoly! I'm distinctly patchy on history and chemistry. Tougher is better though.
