Heh cheers! I knew he was one of the main people on the IVF team but wasn't sure if he was the main pioneer of the IVF technique.

Did you have someone else in mind or were you looking for the full name?

Interesting... never heard of him. Had to look him up on wikipedia and it looks like he might have got the raw end of the deal. Edwards got the fame and a knighthood out of it where as Steptoe didn't seem to get anywhere near the same level of recognition.
