The results are

AxG -15/20
Barracute - 15/20
Dare Devil - 14/20
bcdee - 12/20
P_P - 9/20

AxG and Barracute share the glory

Internet connection is a nightmare at the moment - drops then returns, etc. I've got an engineer booked for next Thursday, so it's pot luck whether I can do the quizzes next week. So I ask bcdee or anybody else to step in just in case I am unable to make it. Thank you

Thanks Qm, unlucky Dare just missed making it a 3 way tie by one point ! I didnt expect to do that well, tying with Ax is as good as winning outright though!

Fingers crossed with your connection

Well done to Barra and Ax

Barra, double Mastermind champ

Here's my GK Q&As -
1.William Booth was the founder of which religious organization?
2.In modern communications, what name is given to the symbol #?
3.The remains of King Richard III were discovered in 2010 under a car park in which city?
4.A shooting star is an alternative name for which celestial object?
5.Which public official can order an inquest into instances of sudden , violent or suspicious death?
6.What is the Latin word foe elsewhere whcih we use to mean that the person under suspicion was somewhere else when the crime was committed?
7.What does the MI of MI5 and MI6 stand for?
8.In Greek legend, who turned everything he touched into gold?
9.What is the square root of 729?
10.Mardi is the French word for which day of the week?

1. Good start, no idea. It's not right but worth a guess, paganism?
2. Hash
3. Leicester
4. Meteor
5. Coroner
6. Alibi
7. Military Intelligence
8. No idea
9. It's between 20 (squared is 400) and 30 (squared is 900) and to get 9 on the end it's got to end in 3 (square is 9) or 7 (squared is 49). So it's either 23 or 27. 729 is closer to 900, so with that logic, I say 27.
I hope that's right after all that!
10. Tuesday
