Can the Overs actually win it this year?
Love Sharon and would love to see her win, but surely the Overs category is never going to win again. Even with the talents of Sam Bailey and Joseph Whelan?
Do you think they have a chance? And are there any other good 'Overs' I haven't mentioned? (I've missed one audition week... still need to catch up )

I'd love one of the overs to win, seriously I'd mark out huge, it happened in America so it isn't impossible

Well we've got this week left. And from the preview there seems to be one amazing over we have yet to see. And apparently they're stronger this year so I still think that we haven't seen all of them yet.
And yes you're right - Joseph and Sam are the only real contenders we've seen so far. Shelley Smith was also there but she's more of an after thought. And Souli Roots is the joke act. |

I think Joseph Whelan could go all the way. He is the real deal.
I don't think Sam Bailey has a hope in hell of winning tbh. |

I agree, I'm rooting for Joseph Whelan and not just because I'm from the Midlands too, I think he would be a unique winner.
Sam is brilliant but won't get the votes imo. Sam is good but I feel she will struggle as she won't be versatile however I think Joseph will be able to pull off many different styles. |

I think Joseph Whelan has a very big chance. I can see him as the contestant that will top the votes on the first few live shows actually. He is VERY popular.

Well, as long as the female producers don't start drooling for a non-over male sausage fest, then I can see an Over perhaps finally win after 10 years.

I really want her to do well and I hope she gets the exposure tomorrow and gets a longer audition like Shelley Smith (short first audition but then a good 10 minute one in the arenas). Because out of all the acts this year she seems to be the Lucy/Diana/Misha B/Cher of this year in terms of quirkiness. I hope she gets far. |

I hope so. They have the only acts that can really properly sing from what I've seen. That is if Andrea and the soul guy from last night make it in.

I think Andrea could win but no one else who we've seen can. Last year, everyone was talking about how Kye, Carolynne and Melanie were some of the strongest of the final 12 vocally, and they were all out by about week 5/6. Not saying that wasn't true but the voting demographic just dont seem to take to them as much as the younger ones.
Ruth was the last female over (and maybe the only one) who had public support and who I could see being commercially successful. I do think Andrea could win if she's through though. |
