Anyone on this forum ever auditioned for X-Factor?
If so what was the experience like?
Or if not you personally do you know someone who has and what happened? |

I got through the producers round last year and then never turned up for the judges audition because I was too nervous. I got asked again to audition this year, they still had all my contact details, but i turned it down.

An schoolfriend did...said you see two sets of producers before the judges and it's a LOT of waiting around.. she didn't make it past the second stage so I'm not sure how helpful it is...also people do come up to you and ask if you have anything interesting about you or a story...

Do you ever regret not turning up or the judges audition? Out of interest, hope you dont think its rude of me to me ask,, but do you think you got through to the judges round because you were very good or very bad?
I did advanced Higher music (scottish thing, I have no idea what that is in english terms) and got an A, so i'm not tone deaf or anything! |

I do regret it, because I'm not....shite. I would of benefited from the training and things you get at bootcamp and all that. Both producers round I got told my 'tone' (i seriously don't understand what they meant) was 'instantly recognizable' and 'unique'. I'm not a big note hitter or anything like that, but I can sing in tune (well, I think I can). I was only 16 at the time, though. And I think when I am 18 or 19 then I might do it again!

On of my best mates went for x factor this year. He got to Bootcamp. The experience was interesting, lots of waiting, lots of filming "reality" sequences - lots of waiting around - initial audition in front of producers took many many hours. Judges audition was interesting, again lots of waiing and filming for main show and xtra factor. Bootcamp was very interesting. We hve certainl learnt a lot about the whole process this year
