As far as Keane are concerned I've liked a couple of their singles but the album sounds very 80's.

Out of the list I'd plump for Kasabian - like their sound - I'm not all that bothered really, as long as Franz Ferdinand don't win anything (bunch of t*ss*rs!)

It's gonna be Keane or Franz Ferdinand anyway. Don't think any of the other contenders are really in with a shot.

Well, you certainly put forth an attractive and convincing argument.

Personally I would like Snow Patrol to win it... they must have quite a good chance.

Keanes album is very good and I hope they win most of the awards their nominated for and if its not them then it should be Franz Ferdinand.

Agree wholeheartedly with the lined up against a wall and shot comment. Keane are dreary, middle of the road, boring and Coldplay rip-offs.

Kasabian are slightly better, but still quite bad. "We bleed rock 'n' roll" What the hell was that about? Their album was a massive disappointment after the singles.

Come on the Muse! I'm only a casual fan, and I think they haven't really evolved much since Origin Of Symmetry, but they're still the best of that bunch. Closely followed by The Libertines, their latest album was a bit of a disappointment though, it was good but not amazing like Up The Bracket.

If Keane are sooooo bad then why did they sell 1.5million in 2004 making their album the 2nd most bought? Answer that.

I don't see why I should bother fighting back against all the Keane haters, we all know of their greatness.

shut up then!

I'm sure you hate bands I like. Can't you just accept that people have different tastes and yours isn't always right?

In fact, I like a lot of bands, name some of your favourites and I'll see if I "hate" them.

The reason Keane sold 1.5million copies of their album is because they make middle of the road, nothing too ambitious, easy listening stuff which people listen to whilst driving.

I like them all there except that I haven't heard of Bravery and Mooney Suzuki.

I hope they do really well too, ever since I heard 'Somwhere Only We Know' played (to death) on Virgin, I put in a pre-order foer the album and wasn't disappointed. Franz Ferdinand, OTOH seem a bit bland. I'd like to see The Killers and Snow Patrol do well too

It was the most bought, not 2nd most bought.
