I don't feel like I've watched a dance, more like evidence in a court case

To be fair, Lilia did choreograph the routine so was at least complicit in the crime.

The little training clip makes me miss Lilia though. She was hilariously short tempered.

I love the so-bad-they're-good dances such as Michael and Natalie's Jive or Bacofoil. It's when the celeb looks profoundly uncomfortable in what they are doing that the dances are hard to watch. I voted for Paul and Ola's Rumba because it made me feel ill and I got the sense that Ola hated every second of being partnered with the obnoxious man.

Diarmuid is very under-rated in the pantheon of bad dancers who are hilarious to watch. I think it's because he was on the same series as Quentin and Julian who are pretty much the iconic "bad and irredeemable" and "bad but redeemable" male dancers of early Strictly. Diarmuid falls a little between two stools, but he was always hilarious, as was Nicole as she got ever more pissy as the weeks went by.

Exackerly. Still, clicking on the poll to vote a Widdy 'dance' (I use the word loosely) as the worst Strictly dance EVAH is infinitely preferable to clicking on a YouTube link and actually finding yourself watching one of the bloody things. *shudders*

As bad as Quentin and Diarmuid are, I don't have to watch them through my fingers - at least they tried.

Edit: I'm enjoying this thread. ”

Plus.....he thought he was great!

Brendan and Lisa's showdance has to be up there as one of the worst... although I do admire Brendan's strength in this.

I remember liking Michael & Natalie's Jive a lot! Bless him it wasn't fantastic, but he still had plenty of enthusiasm in doing it and giving it his best.

For me a not so good dance is one that I didn't find engaging as a performance, if it is technically not so good then I might not even notice depending to what extent (not being an expert).

It be honest, it wasn't so much that dance, more their last dance when voted off - Dom seemed to think it was okay to keep putting his hands on her bum, she moved them once and then he put them straight back. Really uncomfortable to watch

I voted for Quentin, as his was the absolute worst. But if I was voting on effort I would have voted for the revolting Widdy.

At the time I thought that was part of the dance

I think Abbey summed up the dilemma quite well. It is quite an artificial situation, especially at the outset. t must be weird for the celeb and for the pro too if they are not used to it.

I don't remember that. Yuck, what a horrible man.

Why is there not Widdy of John Sergeant choice?

Lol. This was like watching a horror film because the pillow was always in front of the face, I could barely watch it at times.

Poor Lisa, until this point she had actually danced well in the show and not suffered any real cringey moment until this genius dance by Brendan.

Nobody thought that Peter and Erin's Salsa deserved any points. Bless Erin, still getting support beyond the island.

But it is quite another dance when accompanied by an alternative score and the online comments of Digital Spy forumites.
