I recently started noticing touchscreen lagging and registering extra taps on my nexus 7(old version). This Is particularly noticeable after using my Ipad which seems a lot slicker. It seems to get better after a restart, Is there anything I can do to sort it out long term?

I'm no expert, but have you tried re-calibrating the screen?

I've never found an option for that.
