It wasnt just that one there were plenty of other times that were similar. Phil and sharons first scene after their first night together, shirl was in it. They didnt even get a proper scene to themselves
They all made sense if you had them in a list of events.

I still laugh at the scenes where Shirley was peeking into Phil's house to get a glimpse of Phil and Sharon. Wonder if she will do this again when Tina comes along.
