Has anybody heard any rumours (or more definite info) about whether ITV Catchup and/or 4OD will appear on the Roku boxes alongside BBC iPlayer and Demand 5?

The recent NowTV forum chat by James Pullicino confirmed that 4OD will be coming to Sky's NowTV box before the end of the year.

As that box is essentially a locked-down Roku box, I'm guessing that means 4OD will become available on Roku devices, too, before the end of the year.

I hope so. That just leaves ITV player as the biggest missing hole.

Is there anywhere I can see a list of what channels are available on the Roku devices?

There is what they call a "partial list" here on Wikipedia, but it is difficult to say how complete it might be as they are adding channels all the time, though most are not so obviously useful. But there again, you never know, sometimes a niche channel might come up which is exactly what you are looking for.

Presumably you are just thinking about a Roku, and so I will caution you to realise that they do eat into your Internet usage limit (assuming that you have one) and, for example, an hour on BBC iPlayer (TV) will use about 600 MB (0.6 GB) in one go. So if you have a 10GB limit, under 20 hours of Roku may well use a whole month's usage without doing anything else.

Tried it this morning on my Now/Roku box and watched a episode of Homeland.
Worked great, just need ITV to join the fold!

Emailed ITV and they replied within 10 mins saying there is currently no play to bring ITV player to roku but they do review it on a weekly basis. So hopefully will be getting it sometime during 2014
