Me and my friend were discussing this the other day, he views it as the doctors body getting rejigged and that alters slight aspects of his personality but with key aspects always remaining.
I view it as reincarnation of a sort, he's reborn with a brand new body and slightly new personality but with memories of all his previous incarnations. Not sure that made any sense as i was struggling to think about how i'd explain it, so my apologies if it comes across as complete rubbish |
