I am a little disappointed that he is axing Poppy, with Jean gone she is really the only light hearted character in the show. I know she isn't a major character but I quite like her.

Has DTC made the right decision in axing Poppy?

Mistake in my opinion!

Poppy is generally one of the nicest characters in the show and all soaps need people like that, I also thought her and Fats made an accurate realistic portrayal of a young couple yet were never given the chance. Rachel Bright is also a very good actress and has been badly underused.

She was better in her first stint but maybe that was down to being opposite a worse actress/character.In reality let's not beat around the bush she was a non-entity.The only reason for making a thread like this is because you fancied her.

Yes!

Poppy is a simpering condescending simpleton!

I haven't been this happy about an axing since Robbie Jackson.

I am gutted they are axing Poppy, I love her relationship with Fats and she is a breath of fresh air for the show. Big mistake I feel

It was the right decision. I much preferred Fats with Whitney. She didn't treat him well in the end, but she was young and rather silly. Fats has just been an extra since he took up with Poppy. He should move back in with Mrs B and pick up his old friendships.

I think she's a complete waste of time, so I voted yes on the poll.

She was annoying, I hate her voice good, riddance!

I hope we don't get anyone else just like her!

Are people silly! she has done nothing since she was brought back!

Suitcase gate
Ham Gate
Tuna gate
Foppy gate

She doesnt even live on the Square, neither does Fatboy,

Didnt they move out of the B&B?

anyway, she was rubbish comedy, if you look back in the past, there were better actors than her!

They've axed Poppy? Too bad, thought she provided comedic relief to the show; her TOWIE-speak was hilarious. I've not seen EE in nearly a year, so maybe she's gone "south" since then.

Yes, I use to like her, but Fatboy/Poppy together is excruciatingly painful to watch, her obsession with matchmaking was irritating as for her sls, suitcase one, tuna nearly splitting up her relationship, the snake escape and case of the missing ham were just awful.

IMO it was a wrong decision. In her first stint Poppy had a tough side and threatened Lauren after she slept with Darren. This side of her could have been developed. Pairing her with Fatboy was a disastrous move.

I love Poppy but yes, I think he is correct in axing her. As much as I like her, she is only ever used for filler which I really hate. The character has potential and the actress is really good but if they can't think of anything for her then she should be axed.

I would prefer if they tried to give her a serious storyline but axing is fin with me.

Fatboy should have gone instead. At least Poppy has a job.

She's very boring though, her jokes are rubbish, and baby like, there is no where they can take her,

Poppy is currently being wasted as a character used to support another waster that should have gone years ago - Fatboy.

They *could* have turned Poppy into a Raquel Wolstenhulme type character over the months, with Sharon (Bet) as Queen of the Vic & Poppy working/living in there. Missed opportunity

Yes, it is the right decision - She was hardly going to become a very interesting character as she is all sweetness and light and as for comedic purposes there are other older characters that can provide that. Getting rid of Poppy is a good thing, It'll give Fatboy more interesting story lines with other people and not just have him as the good guy boyfriend again.

Doesn't Fatboy live with the Masoods now? So he does live on the square.

I would have liked Poppy to stay but I trust his judgement as he clearly has a vision for the show and knows what he wants and who he wants which is only a good thing.

Exactly, such a cartoon and completely unrealistic character.
