Here's a couple of discoveries on the symphonic/progressive end of the rock/metal spectrum

Here's another Northern Irish recommendation for you

If you like quite dark folk music, this is for you.

For all fans of Bandcamp who perhaps thinks music discovery on the site could be better, I present BCRecommender.

http://www.bcrecommender.com/

It has been around for a little while now but has recently had a bit of an overhaul making it better with a rather big and brilliant feature added.

Let's say you find an album on Bandcamp that you really like and would like to find more similar to it, all you do is copy the album URL into the BCRecommender search box and away you go.

For example, I really love this 2015 ode to psychedelic 70s rock so I just take the URL

http://1886band.bandcamp.com/album/b...vers-the-mount

Search in BCRecommender and voila

http://www.bcrecommender.com/tralbum...ers-the-mount?

Enjoy!

Not sure what if any genre they fall into but here's some folk/latin/blues from Marseille:

Track 7 Bons Baisers de Marseille is just about my favourite song in the world, ever.

Every day on Bandcamp, I come across half a dozen bands using Black Sabbath as their blueprint so I get rather excited when I come across a band using Led Zeppelin as their blueprint.

How freakin brilliant is this? A full dynamic range release of their album. I wish more bands would do this, I would even pay extra.
