It's a good clear out and the charcters have run their course, and I think he knows what he's doing, now let's just hope he puts SHARON, IAN, DOT, PHIL at the top of the storyline list, and especially sort SHARON OUT.....I have a funny feeling Letitia Dean will be at the forefront of EE again with the power suits and business status........let's hope so!! EE needs to come out of it's state!!!

Looking forward to seeing what other characters he's going to bring in, Tina and Terry sound promising.

I think he's made the wrong decision by axing so many characters all at once

He knows what he's doing, there have been far more mass cast culls and the show survived!

How could the characters have run their course when most of the ones axed havent really been established?

While I am glad that DTC is welding the axe and taking control like his predecessor neglected to do, its a cheap trick.Hes basically zoning in on all of BK/LN's creations, it doesnt take a genius to work out that they want to erase the last 3 years. But why didnt he hold off on axing these characters right away and see who could be salvaged under good writing?

Probably because he sees that these characters have nowhere to go, and he has no interest in working with them. A lot of these characters were introduced without any credible backstory nor any coherent direction to take them in. It's literally as if they were making it up as they went along. Any producer will want to cut a few characters and introduce their own. DTC has been unfortunate in that he's taking over a show with a lot of deadwood to be chopped.

because all have been ruined beyond repair!

Ava should have sorted things out with Cora, but didnt so she failed because viewers wanted to see that first,

Sam should have been given a gangster role as his kidulthood character was scary!

Kirsty is just another wife who Max would have cheated on!

DTC played a part in the creation of The Mitchell sisters, Shirley and the Masoods, he has a great history of bringing in big characters so its no wonder that he wanted to axe a few so he could bring his own creations in.

Because he clearly has an idea for where he wants to take the show and these don't fit that vision?

I'm sure he's thought about what he's doing and not just chucked out randoms without thinking about it.

Yes, some had potential but maybe he has ideas for new characters stories that these won't fit because it would mean a complete change of character.

Please don't axe Cora - love Cora and Ann Mitchell is a damned fine Actress, I think Rainie should return.

I don't see DTC getting rid of Ann Mitchell. Cora is a good character but is also another character who has lost her way under Newman. Hopefully she will shine under Dominic.
