Masoods new era....
AJ is going so Madood will cease to be a side kick or part of the men behaving badly crew...
Carol will dump him, it's inevitable! So with him being single and brother-less, say what Karma?, how do you think he'll get on? How would you like to see him progress or do you think he'll end up being pushed into the background? I sort of hope not but I'm unsure with what he can do and where he go but maybe one of you has a much better imagination than myself? |

I think they should axe Tamwar as well, Masood works well with anybody, he interacted with Phil and Ian, he is very confident, he would do great by himself,
I want him to have Kamil permanently, so we can watch him being raised and grow up! |

BIB but then we would miss out on the classic EE storyline of teenage Kamil coming back to London and being a brick short of a wall because he never seen his father and it was somehow his mother's fault....that old chestnut. |

It's not looking great for Masood right now, with his brother now going, his relationship with Carol likely heading down the pan - and having Tamwar (who I now loathe with a passion) as his only relative in the Square. I'm worried he will become as redundant as his own water feature...
![]() Hopefully DTC will be interviewed soon and divulge some information on his plans for Masood. Sharon's available - I'd love to see Masood take on her little monster. He has a great way with kids. And another vote here for him raising Kamil. And surely a return for Shabnam, if the Masoods are here to stay? |

Sadly I think the Masoods have very quickly waned. Unless Syed or Shabnam returns to boost the family connections, I can't see either Masood or Tamwar lasting that long. Especially with Zainab long gone.

I like Masood.Although its a remote possibiliy,I'd like to see him end up with Carol and have a petty rivalry with David over the grandchildren.

I think they should split Carol and Masood up for a start. I don't want to watch months of a love triangle especially as I think Masood and Carol were only paired up for this reason. It's a complete waste of three characters who deserve better.
Masood - I would try and revert him back to his original personality. I know he was never the most religious of the family but I don't like how they have erased it from his character. Tamwar - I would lighten him up. The character is dull and needs Afia back. Or the axe beckons. Shabnam - I would bring her back with a husband and a child. The new generation of the family. They could easily recast her. |

Masood - I agree, he was always mellow but they have taken it too far, he had much more of a spark when Zainab was around and she was right - he gets zero done without her. His religion was also important to him and never seem to prompted by Zainab. I'm not saying we need scene after scene of him reading the Qu'ran or in pray but just a little nod would be good and it was also the element I loved within the Masoods as a whole, even though I'm not Muslim, that juxtaposition of being modern and trying to fit in coupled together with having a faith which a lot of people don't practice or don't understand. I also wish they would be more scenes of people from the Muslim/Asian community, people can correct me if I'm wrong, but that felt very real to be part of two communities. He seems limited, ironically, being connected to just one. Tamwar - I think he needs Afia back, it would lovely for her to come back from travelling and to start again with him. maybe it would be easier without Zainab? Shabnam - I was sad when she left as I thought the character had so much more to give. If the original actress wasn't up for returning then a re-cast would be fine |

alarmist much? the show has invested way too much into the masoods to axe one of the last links. All masood really needs is a love interest thats "asian" and preferably muslim too. With DTC back in the fold i dont doubt the masoods and brannings will return to their pre-2010 versions..

Masood's only real purpose at the moment is his romance with Carol. With him about to enter a love triangle with David Wick's it's inevitable that he'll lose. With his brother leaving, what is really left for him?
Tamwar has slightly come back to life under Alice's influence but now she's leaving he's bound to regress again and with him and Masood left to drift I think they'll have outstayed their welcome by then. Send Tam off to uni, send Mas off to find Zainab and give their house to a new family or use it to get someone out of that damn B&B. |

I think it's important for the Masoods to have a female presence to balance off of and so I would suggest a return of Shabnam. I would like to see Shabnam as Fatboy's new love interest when Poppy leaves, much to the dismay of Tamwar. Failing that - axe them.
