EE- In Dire need of a new family
The Hartmans (Sam & Ava) have just been axed by DTC. Personally I think Sam and Ava had potential but the writing they were given especially at the start didn't help. They should keep Cora, we need a powerful, feisty elderly woman like that in the show. What about a new family? With Carl now axed the speculation that it was going to his family is now over. Could it be Danny's? Or will it be a brand new family with no current links to Albert Square?

Whilst I agree a new family would be good they have a lot of people being underused at the moment and plenty of deadwood that could be culled. A smaller cast with more developed plotlines is what is needed.

I think they need to fix the current cast first!
The smaller the cast the better the show will be, |

I don't agree. They're in dire need of repairing the families they already have. Only then should a new family be brought in.

I think this must be part of DTC's plan...
He's getting rid of least 10 people so far and I wouldn't be surprised if more follow... That's room for a few more to join |

Speaking of Cora, what have they done with her recently? I hardly see her and when I do she's just smoking, drinking and gambling recreationally with Patrick! They have hardly made her and Ava interact at all and now Ava's leaving!

This, It seems the answer to EE these days is to bring a new family in, like it will change anything.

I just want to point out...Lauren's unemployed and Abi's trying to sort her education out. Max is in prison so there's only Kirsty there to "look after them" - yet Tanya hasn't been informed for some outrageously stupid reason (I'll honestly roll my eyes if it turns out to be one of those "we don't want to worry her" moments . If she has in fact been informed and hasn't bothered trying to help them out in some way, then Abi's "we already have a hum" line directed at Kirsty is hollow.Quote:

As far as I'm aware she was invited to go stay with Tanya for a bit.

The thing is, Eastenders is not real life, and Jo Joyner does not want to return - so you can't expect Tanya to return.
