I have a real soft spot for Dirty Dancing, I wouldn't like to guess at how many times I've watched it.

Which film or films are your guilty secrets?

Loving may be too strong a word, but a couple of often much maligned films I enjoy watching are Alien Resurrection and The Godfather 3.

Mamma Mia. I'm a straight male, so any hint that I like any musicals at all will be met with snorts of derision from my friends. I do like Mamma Mia though, it's so feelgood and happy, with great music too.

I think the negative opinions of Part 3 were largely due to Sofia Coppola's feeble performance and accusations of nepotism against the director. I think we are now realising that, although not as good as parts 1 or 2, 3 is not a bad film in its own right. Pacino is as compelling as ever and Andy Garcia turns in a very good performance. There's plenty to like in part 3; the problem is that the first two films set such an incredibly high standard to follow.

Alien Resurrection for me, too. I just find it an enjoyable SF action movie, and a zillion times better than Alien 3.

Krull. I have actually been mocked for buying it on DVD, but I've liked this movie since I saw it at the cinema.

That's on my 'DVDs yet to be watched' list, and has been for years. I must fire it up soon. If I can endure Cyborg Cop, I can endure anything!

I can't think of a single film I wouldn't want to admit to loving and shout it from the rooftops. It's about personal choice, and if everyone else hates it, so what?

I don't 'love' Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, Godfather 3, Howard The Duck; but I don't mind them and wlll happily watch more than once.

I love Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (for all its naffness) and certainly find it more watchable and enjoyable than the whales one and First Contact.

Battlefield Earth though? Just no

And never managed to sit through Mamma Mia, though I genuinely love Abba and all the principal actors. Just feels like really embarrassing mum and dad karaoke.

I actually bought a sealed copy of it from a charity shop for 99p several years ago. Like I say, i still haven't watched it. I like looking at the cover picture of John Travolta with a massive forehead, though. I must watch it!

I'm not saying it's unwatchable. But if you like alcohol or substances, it greatly improves the viewing experience

I thought Star Trek: Nemesis was fantastic (by far the best out of the TNG movies) though I don't generally share that opinion as most people seem to hate it.

I personally wouldn't say 'fantastic'. Just my opinion. But does have some very good stuff in it, and doesn't really deserve all the fan-hate poured on it. The main problem was the cast were really old and tired, and it really showed onscreen.

Sudden Death with Jean Claude Van Damme. I can't stand those type of action films but the premise for this film is not too bad.

Scary Movies 1-4. Even though i've seen them countless times, if there's nothing else on then I can put any of them on and still watch them.

(5 was utter shite though )

Disaster Movie and Meet The Spartans as well.

There's just enough stupid, silly stuff in both of those that appeals to me.

You're not wrong there, Brent Spiner in particular looks really old in it.

The thing about Data's look is that they had a great way out in terms of the make up after First Contact. They could have easily written into the story that in between movies he had studied and developed the "real skin" the Borg Queen gave him in FC. So he could gave appeared in the subsequent movies without all the make up, which did look silly as his age was clearly showing.
