My Panasonic DMR-83EB DVD recorder has shown "U80" on it's display a couple of times in the last month. It has then gone into "self check mode" and after about a minute has been OK.

What does the "U80" mean? Is it a problem? If so, it is still under warranty.

Thanks in advance.

Yes thanks. Shop will sort it out when I get time to drop it off. Not playing up at moment though. Got 3 year warranty and it is only 6 months old. So no rush.

Thanks everyone.
