What are the chances of BB7 or another Cbb happening? Some people seem to think that BB will be scrapped after this year.

I doubt BB will be scrapped it still has some life yet. Strange people are saying that considering the success of last year.

Everyone was saying (understandably) that it was/should be scrapped after BB4 - There have been 3 sucsessful BB since then wheather people actually liked the outcomes of them or not.

BB5
TBB
CBB3

All good in their own right and more than a good reason to keep going.

Much with depend on the outcome of BB6 - and that is going to be down to a question of getting the right people that work together. That has always been very hit and miss with endemol and us!

It's no good having individual weirdos if they don't interact well together - that is the weak link in the whole BB idea.

I actually really liked this last CBB3 and not just for one contestant - A good group of all round weirdos that interacted entertainingly. - And wasn't 10 week too long! the main BB does drag on way too long for my liking. (Even with the right people!)

One reason suggested was that Endemol and C4 dont want another "Fight Night", but already had signed a contract for 6 BB's, but may not renew it again afterwards.

It's getting stupid how people are using the "Fight night" from BB5 in every second thread as a reason for this, that and the other.

Here are two examples i can think of, feel free to add your own to these ones.

1) No BB5 DVD because of "Fight Night" = Untrue

Explanation : There was no BB5 DVD as they sold the rights to the Sun newspaper. This would never have been the case even if they didn't, they could easily edit it out.
Besides the police closed their investigation(read PR stunt) a long time ago.

2) There will be no more BB after BB 6, 7, 8, 9,..(you get the idea) because of "Fight Night"= Untrue.

Explanation = That would NEVER play any hand, act or part in the decision to stop screening BB.
People give too much credit to BB5 for being the most "controversial, exciting series of BB ever", no, 3 was alot more entertaining.

Oh. It's "action" you want... There's more to a BB series than that you know...

BB4 was the worst of the 5 but it is under-rated and that trashy experiment with the chav kids (with no voting, etc...) was certainly not better...

BigBrother is Channel4's most watched programme and for Channel4 to axe BigBrother whilst ratings are high would be like ITV axing Coronation Street or the BBC axing Eastenders. Why should Channel4 axe BigBrother when they made and estimated 14million profit from BB5. My guess is that if there is gonna be a BB7 they could change house as the contract between Endemol and the house owners (something like that) runs out at the end of the year along with the contract between Channel4 and Endemol although that will probably be renewed for another BB7. Even though BB6 does turn out to be as boring as BB4 there probably will be a BB7 as there are always the chances of BB7 being better as proved from BB4 to BB5. I can only see Channel4 axing BigBrother if the start to make a loss instead of a profit or 2 series in a row turn out to have low ratings. Even if BigBrother does only get 4million per episode, this is above average for them anyway.

Big Brother will not be scrapped so long as it continues to be successful and watched by millions of viewers.

Well it was the milestone of the first sex in the BB house.

Whether we want(ed) that or if we never want to see it again, is largely irrelivent - it was different, but still a sucsess in it's own right.
