Totally agree with you. BBC & ITV are really getting desperate, trying to copy each other's shows.

Even QVC is getting more entertaining these days!

Strictly.

X Factor is for bitchy little girls.

Strictly.

X-factor might be ok if they cut out the sob-stories and fake histronics. It's just a bloody talent contest, not a matter of life and death. Strictly remains entertaining fun, which is all either show is supposed to be.

X-Factor for me. I find Strictly boring.

Why don't you do a BGT vs X Factor or BGT vs Strictly poll? That would seem a bit more fairer than the above.

I saw this on my TL this weekend, obviously sinking to new lows to boost ratings. No wonder Strictly is whipping XF's arse in the ratings.

I'll watch X factor if there is nothing better on TV, but I always choose Strictly if they clash in the schedule. Strictly is quite specific (as a Ballroom show) so I get why some peope wouldn't be interested in watching it but I much prefer it to the XFactor.

I saw the bootcamp epsiode yest (as I had nothing much to do) and the 6 seat thingy wasn't my cup of tea. I get that it makes compelling TV (for some viewers) but I think the show had enough teary moments before this was introduced.

Hate the new twist on X Factor so won't be watching again

Love strictly - but wish they would ditch Bruce

I wouldn't say I'm a fan of Strictly, but it's bearable.
x factor, on the other hand - I detest it.
I hate everything about it or connected with it.
It makes me want to throw a brick at my television.
Surely everyone must know by now it is 100% fixed.

In the past I would always have said X Factor no question but I can't watch this year because of Sharon Osborne. I probably will watch a bit of Strictly so on that basis right now - Strictly, even though I find most of it cheesy and cringeworthy. It's still one up on Sharon O.

X-Factor is just glorified karaoke. The few singer/songwriters can be interesting, but the majority are carbon copies of other singers in the charts. Apart from a few well known exceptions, it's basically just a fast-track way of getting a singing spot on a cruise liner. Unlike Strictly, there's something a bit "tacky" and unpleasant about it these days.

Strictly has been a great early Saturday evening programme for the whole family. How long they can keep going before people get tired of the format is anyone's guess. But it's still doing fine in the ratings.
