People this forum begged not to be chosen
for CBB. Here is a thread from 2009 in which the lovely Lesley B asked who we would most HATE to see in CBB? http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1183677 And (with an AWFUL lot of repetition for Kerry Katona) here are some of the answers: Quote:
For me it would be any of the women from LOOSE WOMEN.

It almost looks as if Ch 4/ 5 looked at the list for inspiration. And that was in the happy days before TOWIE/ GS etc. Apart from people from those shows it is actually hard to think of really pointless and tiresome z-listers they haven't already used. Peaches Geldof continues to be bottom of my list though. |

...as well.Peaches Geldof was already a part of BBCH of course, so perhaps for that reason alone, you may be safe on that one. *touch wood* |

To be fair Alex Reid & Dane Bowers were not that bad...Colleen wasn't half bad...Spencer was a great HM.
There have been a lot worse not on that list that made it in the house (Lauren & Danielle from this past series on their own) |

The people who (anti-)suggested Vanessa Feltz must have felt pretty safe as she'd already been on the show. But no! A guest slot was found for her in CBB12 just the same... ___________ Btw, it probably says quite a lot about how I see celeb culture that I saw: Quote:

Alex Reid went out with Richard Bacon?I would most hate to see Peaches (spit) Geldof. Kerry Katona would be ghastly, but not quite as bad. "But why would Kevin Pietersen want to sell a story about that?"

![]() CBB casting has mostly been pretty strong on paper, apart from CBB2 (which was clearly just a half-arsed bunch of light entertainment "names") and CBB11 (only 2 "young people and a bunch of middle-aged soap stars with placid personalities - even before the series started I knew it was going to be horrible). Certainly CBB casting trumps regular BB casting since they've been on Channel 5, in terms of diversity and "interesting" characters. |

It's actually rather depressing when you consider that BB have almost exhausted the DS 'Please don't put that idiot in there' list
![]() Where do they go next? |

I liked all of those housemates that DS didn't want but got. I'm always out of the loop though and not least because I got straight off that CBB was exactly about these kind of celebs and not Brad Pitt or even Bradley Walsh.
IMO there is an awful lot of snobbery on here and in the House about celebrities and what entails a celebrity which I find hilariously ironic, coming from those partaking in and enjoying this kind of show. |

Especially the reality show types as I don't' watch any of those programmes but know they have a massive following. I just like them to be interesting to watch and have a narrative of some kind

I hear you, but the term Celebrity does become rather tenuous when linked to folk like the SIL who shagged the Premiership footballer etc

IMO the celeb bit is almost irrelevant as some of the biggest names, Jermaine and La Toya EG were some of the most boring.Don't get me wrong, I liked them and found them interesting but they were never stars of their respective years. ETA Be careful what you wish for DS is all I'd say

Maybe we just know the sort of people the producers are going to pick regardless.
If we did another thread you could guarantee half a dozen names on it would appear on CBB in the next 5 years. |

I would think BB get whoever they can, it's so hard to get people to sign up, do you wonder.
Who wants to be made a complete tosser for the viewers to enjoy and make C5 a fortune? In the USA a few dogs won $1m in America has Talent. Mind you it's coming to something when animals are cleverer than us poor humans, and they don;'t even speak our language. |
