Anyone really enjoy these comedy movies? I love the one liners from Leslie Nielsen

Do you want to take a dinghy?
Nah I took care of that at the press conference.

Cuban?
No - Dutch Irish. My father was from Wales.

Go Stephanie!

All 3 are superb. Saw them as a young boy and it pretty much created my sense of humour.

Brilliant. Police Squad, on which it was derived, was funny too.

"Cigarette?"
"Yes, I know"

and from Police Squad
"We would have come sooner but your husband wasn't dead then."

"Police Squad" was a spoof of the 1959 series "M Squad" which starred Lee Marvin.

The first movie was fantastic, but diminishing returns soon set in, and the sequels were much worse.

My favourite gag from Police Squad:

My favourite exchange from Police Squad is in episode 1 when they interview Sally Decker. That dialogue is just genius

"So Miss Decker, when did you notice that something was wrong?"
"Well I heard the shot, and as I turned, Jim fell"
"Er, he's the teller Frank"
"Jim Fell's the teller?"
"No, Jim Johnson"
"Who's Jim Fell?"

It goes on, but it's just brilliant!

'The truth hurts, doesnt it Hapsburg? Oh sure, maybe not as much jumping on a bike with the seat missing...'

'Don't you realise its because of you this city is being overrun by baboons?'
'Well, isnt that the fault of the voters...?'

Mayor: Drebin, I don't want anymore trouble like you had last year on the South Side. Understand? That's my policy.

Frank: Yes. Well, when I see 5 weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards. That's my policy.

Mayor: That was a Shakespeare-In-The-Park production of "Julius Caesar", you moron! You killed 5 actors! Good ones.

Mobsters: "Who are you, and how did you get in here?"
Drebin (in disguise): "I'm a locksmith... and I'm a locksmith."

The six episodes are great. First two films are pretty good. Third film is a bit naff.

"Is this some kind of bust??"

"Yes, it's very impressive!!"

That joke was used in one episode of Police Squad and one of the Naked Gun films

I came on here just to say that. Best moment in the film.

Love the trilogy, one of my favourites.

Leslie Neilson is sorely missed from the comedy world.

The third film did make me want someone to make the film "Geriatric park" though.

Love all the films and Police Squad.

My personal favourite gag:

(Jane storms away from Frank in a bar)

Frank: Oh I love being single......I HAVEN'T HAD THIS MUCH SEX SINCE I WAS A BOYSCOUT LEADER!

(Piano stops, everyone falls silent and looks at him)

Frank: I mean...um...at the time....I was dating a lot...

Frank: Doctors say that Nordberg has a 50/50 chance of living, though there's only a 10 percent chance of that

(Trying to tell Frank about the case in hospital)
Nordberg: Dr - Drugs...
Frank: Quick Nurse, give this man some drugs! Cant you see he's in pain?
Nordberg: No Frank, heroin...
Frank: That's a tall order Nordberg. You'll have to give me a couple of days on that one.

Ed: What I'm trying to say is that, Wilma, as soon as Nordberg is better, he's welcome back at Police Squad.

Frank: Unless he's a drooling vegetable. But I think that's only common sense.
