Really looking forward to this it's out on the 11th of October . Even though I didn't enjoy the second game quite as much as the first I still thiught there were interesting characters in it, nd I'm looking forward to what it had to offer . Interestingly bl2 actually sold more copies I heard than the first game .

It's a fair price too considering all the DLC which comes with it.

Still a bit annoyed the upgrade pack 2 and the 3 headhunter packs won't be included so still unsure about buying it until they are 100% done with it.

Borderlands only had 4 pieces of DLC, all of which is available on the GOTY edition.

Borderlands 2 currently has 4 pieces of true DLC, 2 new characters, 2 upgrade packs, some cosmetic items and 3 headhunter packs released and/or announced. The GOTY edition has the 4 true DLCs, the 2 characters, 1 of the upgrade packs and all the cosmetic bits. So basically you don't get the 2nd upgrade pack or the headhunter bits. Neither of these 4 have been released yet though.

There's also Digistruct Peak that isn't in the GOTY. A place where you can grab yourself 8 "Overlevels" (adding levels to your toon but not adding any skill points) and fight enemies over lvl 80.

Got this through the post this morning . What does everybody else think so far?. Im playing the captain Scarlett Dlc first .
Only annoying thing s having to install all the Dlc separately , and I'm a bit confused by some of the additional content and when u recive it, eg pshyco pack.

I've not got it yet, will wait for the Steam sale. You should get the 2 character packs from the start, but you may need to install them first.

It's on Steam now for 45 which is excessive to say the least seeing as the boxed game is 27ish on Amazon. May go 75% off during the Halloween sale, which means it's just over 11 which is well worth it.

Defo not Headhunter. Highly unlikely for Digistruct.

Unlikely as an addon pack, but maybe as a GOTY Elite edition.

As it stands currently, it will be the Ultimate Vault Hunter 2, and 3 x Headhunter packs not released on disc. Hardly worth the effort for such a small download.

If it doesn't explain a character called Spiderpants from the Tiny Tina DLC, go to here: http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/sh...ht=spiderpants one of the best threads ever created.

Currently on sale for 50% on Steam. Due to an error in pricing it was 75% off last night meaning I picked up the GOTY edition, the 2nd Vault Hunter pack and the 3 x headhunter packs for under 15.

I played Lilith in the first game, is the Siren still a decent choice in Borderlands 2?

Siren is interesting in BL2, generally she's a support chara/ healer, but can be pretty effective solo too with the right skills.

I'll be solo playing for the majority. Lilith was awesome as she lit people up with fire smgs. I might go for the Gunzerker or the Mech, although the assassin looks cool.

I played Siren till 50, you still get to light people up with SMGs Phaselock + converge + ruin = lots of dmg quickly, you just can't go around guns blazing all the time like on a zerker. That said, I picked up a picked up a mechromancer, and played that to 72, totally different playstyle, with close enough and anarchy (and a pet). All the classes are fun in different ways though.

Axton is like Roland from BL1 though, and not really my sort of play. Likewise I have no interest in the Brick/Psycho style of melee play. The gunzerker looks interesting, as does the rogue like Zer0 but neither are really my sort of thing either. The Mech is, as is the siren, and seeing as I loved the Siren in BL1 I'll probably end up with her.

I went siren in the end. Currently level 19 with just over 20hrs playtime. You are correct though, you simply can't go in all guns blazing. I have a decent scoped corrosive pistol and a class mod to boost it more and have few issues (only converge currently). I can't seem to find a decent fire SMG this time round though. I have one, but it's awful.

My one issue with Borderlands is at level 1 all characters the same. Even when you get the special skill it's still very samey until your level 16 and get you first game changer talent. Seeing as this takes a good chunk of time, you can't easily try out other classes with any degree of accuracy.

Also I have a question about playthroughs. Which is the best way to tackle them when you have everything so it is still a challenge? I assume once I hit 50 I will continue to level until 72 just like BL1? So is it better to ignore the DLC?
