Do you think we'll get one?

It's long overdue a new set, it's been the same since 2009.

Yes, I think it'd also make the live shows feel so much fresher!

But why do I have a feeling that it won't happen

No, same here, they'll probably keep the same set as before, perhaps they'll just add a few more screens and lights like they do every year to make it seem more flashy.

I would like to see them though change the colour schemes though this year. Gold on a Sunday just did not work, made it lose the tension for me. I'd rather swap it and have the gold colour on Saturday's and go back to the blue/purple for the Sunday results.

Probably not a new set, maybe just adjustments as others have said. It's the last series of the current contract and technically X Factor or BGT aren't signed for next year and beyond. Of course they will carry on but they're probably not going to spend money on a new set when the contract's up.

I'm pretty confident that The X Factor has already signed a new contact. BGT are already advertising for auditions, so they most definitely are signed. I can't imagine Simon giving ITV BGT if they won't keep TXF.

They're never signed officially until it's announced officially. However they still need to plan ahead so I guess there is some kind of redundancy fund from ITV there.

My point is that they can't splash the cash on a new set.

I'd like a new set, have the stage panel like the X shape used on the final but rotated so it's bigger in width, keep the curved screens in the back but get rid of the big screen in the middle, just have the curved screen round the back be there and the acts, judges can enter by going up stairs giving a more tension feel, also have a X above the stage like it's going to land on the stage panel, have a red/silver colour scheme on Saturday & purple/blue on Sunday
