The record deal signed today may have been a European deal?

An announcement was made last week re an Australian one. I'm hoping for a good promo campaign. I'm sure Sony will back her on this.

It may have been yes so i am hoping so!
Geri is quite good at getting herself press so i hope she promotes like mad as well. I feel confident with a single or two but the album not so sure it will do well but who knows. I agree Sony will back her. Talent shows are good for promo.

So glad she has signed a record deal (which I presume will be for releasing outside of Australia seeing as she already had a record deal?)

Also loved "Back In Business" - that would be such a great album opener (and title!)

If it was a European deal, hence a UK release, I see no reason why The X Factor wouldn't give her a performance slot. She'd do well on Strictly too.

Oh yes I agree plus it would be great promo so hope she thinks about that. Glad shes taking advantage with Australia's got talent. Look at what its done so far! Some people were against it but i thought then it would be great exposure so glad she done it.

Her first big performance since the Olympics and her first performance in front of thousands of people as a solo act in eight years.. I think this warrants a fresh thread where people can discuss the performance, her new single etc.

For what it's worth I am a Geri fan. I'm just not deluded enough to think that people care when they don't anymore. Geri doesn't have the interest or star appeal she did over a decade back. It is for this reason I was pushing for an appreciation thread because it was just getting cringe worthy and embarrassing.

Kenny I really do appreciate all the news you bring, but you have to see that your constant news updates etc was beginning to look desperate especially as aside from the 2 or 3 of us no one on the main board CARES. Bumping up 3 or 4 threads with the same info really made the tiny few of us Geri fans look like fools.

Yes, I did ask the moderators to close the topic on the main forum for OUR best interests. I will continue to do so if only 2 or 3 of us are the only one's contributing, or if the same piece of info is copy and pasted on 6 different threads.

I'm really grateful for this appreciation thread. We can now discuss Geri at peace.

I follow Geri's career plus there denden i'm not on there but its open to public so anyone can view it. There's always Geri news on there. I think an appreciation thread is a smart move as i don't want to be arguing with other users all the time. So of them bash for the sake of it. Yes Kenny i am grateful for some of your posts but i wouldn't waste your time too much in the main forum they are just bashing Geri some of them but if you don't mind then that's good for you. I just find it annoying when people do that and don't have a clue what they are on about! So thank you for some of your posts

Now topic yes Geri's big performance is coming up. I saw some of the videos from her warm up gig & cant wait for this! She'll probably trend on twitter maybe? & i imagine denden will have news too so

I LOVE the song.

The production of the performance looked quiet cheap though. The dance was cringe. She's got a brill song though so I hope it does well.

She should have mimed and put in more into the dance etc.

Possibly a bigger production may have been organized...

Geri singing live rather than miming & she still gets criticized!

Geri releasing new music & some fans still aren't happy! Jesus ungrateful some people!

Anyway i think Geri done a good job love the song & performance. OK in parts it could've been better but lets see the next performance on AGT! I bet Geri steps it up!

So i read that Geri's been filming a new documentary rumored to be titled back in business. Its about her time in Australia. Hope this is true i've enjoyed all of Geri's documentary's so far.

Also so i read as well (denden) & the source is Perez Hilton. Geri's new album is going to self titled hmm i like the idea.

Also Kenny i hope Geri's not taking some of the negative press's comments personally i know they have stories to sell etc but they were very harsh. I'm not saying that they should be nice no but no need for the ott nastiness. Horrible people behind their computers!

I'm excited for this new era & really hope it works out. Geri must've been working so hard & as long as us fans & she is happy then that's the main thing. Sod the haters.

Also guys we should talk past music Miss Halliwell shes released 3 fantastic albums so we should chat about them. I've recently been listening to Passion.

Slightly disappointed and frankly shocked at the level of undeserved bile spewed by some of the British Press after her performance - especially coming from certain 'journo's' who have shown themselves to be repulsively two faced.
I won't lie and say that it had no effect ...

BUT, we wrapped on the video yesterday and Geri is really positive at the moment, excited, inspired, happy!
