There is no such thing as the "right" singers. The show needs some variety and Abi is the unique one in Nicole's category. How many other singers are there like Melanie out there? I'd say a lot, there is just nothing special about her that makes her stand out amongst the other girls in the competition. The only reason she's made it this far is because it's her 4th time. She needs to move on because she's simply not interesting enough for the show.
Of course they have, but everybody's choices will differ. Last year people were mad over Nicole putting Rylan through to the live shows (I was beyond happy) but it's ridiculous because the show would be boring as **** if it was all the same just loud singers who stand in the middle of the stage. It needs fun, excitement, entertainment and versatility.
How do we actually KNOW that Melanie was invited back? Even if she was; if she doesn't reach their standards then that's not their problem it's hers. She didn't have to go back, it was her own decision.
I loved Janet but I prefer Abi already, I think she'll impress more people at the live shows, she's an extremely talented girl.

Well I dont rate Abby and can see people tiring of her. She is the Boring one.

It seems Melanie was invited back and really the producers should not have her pimped her like they have.or even shown her at all. It seems she decided to go back to help her family, bad decision by the looks of things.
Melanie would reach anyone's standards, her vocals are polished and pitch perfect, and would certainly outreach any standard Rylan would reach, he could barely sing. and was annoying. He was last years joke act.
Get used to the same old loud singers again in Hanna, Tamera and all of Sharon's lot. It will warble, screech, heaven.
