HO: Lewis Richardson's death scene?
Does anybody know where I can find the scenes where he committed suicide and then died in the hospital? I have heard that they were really intense and very shocking, and I wanna compare the to when Esther tried it.

They were pretty horrible scenes and very upsetting. I have no idea where you'd find them though. Apart from a few old episodes on Youtube, I've found it very difficult finding clips pre 2006.

Well I'll probably never find them. They were nitty-gritty I take it? After overdosing what happened to him in what order? I know that he died in agony.

Sorry I don't know where you would find them either, but they were pretty grim, it was shocking how long it took and how painful it was. Especially as he had changed his mind and thought he was going to be OK.

Honestly you probably don't want to see them. It was really harrowing viewing, they pulled no punches with it and nor should they have. He didn't die a beloved character as he'd started out, he died as someone who'd just tried to rape his ex-girlfriend. Trying to reconcile that while watching him deteriorate was pretty f**ked up.
The sequence of events, as far as I can remember, went a bit like this... Lewis' life started to spiral, he become quite depressed and desperate. He tried to rape Ruth. He took an overdose, similar to Esther, alcohol and painkillers in the outside somewhere (I think by water or a bridge). He woke up the next morning and thought he was fine. He wasn't fine. Went into the hospital, got put on machines and waited for a transplant. His family and friends were horrified and he was quite hysterical at times. I can remember one part where he sort of made this agonising sound and stretched his arms out for someone to hug him, maybe his Mum or Mandy. He had jaundice. He was very ill. His family, especially Mandy, found it hard to be around him. Ruth told her what he had done. He died. |

I believe the actual scenes of his death were screened in a late night episode as opposed to the actual show.
It was either a "Later" equivalent, or one of the spin offs like "In the City" Not sure if that helps at all... |

I think it was called Hollyoaks in the City - there were about 10 episodes screened at 10pm focusing of Lewis, Finn, Tony and Ruth plus several new characters one of whom was played by Sarah Manners.
Lewis' death was gruesome - both the physicality portrayed as his organs shut down one by one and also because everybody was so damned hard on him. Of course he'd hurt Ruth which was dreadful but he had his sister and friends berating him, calling him selfish for having attemped suicide and very much seeming as though they just wanted him to hurry and die and that they wouldn't mourn for him or miss him. |

It was called Hollyoaks: Moving On. To this day still one of my favourite spin offs. Lewis' death was one of the best in any soap in my opinion.
