Yes I've noticed this. Tamera has given two sub-par live performances (that's two for two but who's counting) yet she is also being edited as a front-runner. She will be the one to be given chance after chance to prove herself in the live shows in spite of shouty, off-tune singing and boring, predictable song choices. I feel the same way about Sam Callahan and I'm still scratching my head over what they see in Luke. Don't get me started on the groups.

The only acts that have impressed me each time they have performed so far are Sam Bailey, Hannah and Melanie.

I think the producers have latched onto Tamera primarily because of her looks and think they can mould her into a new Rihanna (but are in danger of putting the cart before the horse....having to over-hype a contestant from the outset is a bad sign and rarely if ever results in an XF winner).

They realise that Tamera has great potential which is why she is fav with the bookies.

You know what jeref? Tamera being bookies favourite might go against her as pressure might take its toll on a 16 year old. I would prefer if she wasn't a favourite at all. I'll be more than happy if Melanie was the favourite .

Hannah is the best singer of the final girls.

Hannah and Tamera are the two best singers without a doubt. I dont bother about the contestants private lives. i just judge them on their singing ability.

agreed ( well apart from alexandra ) Melanie is a lovely singer but not as great as people are making her out to be

Well if that is true then there truely is no talent left. I agree with you that Hannah is good, and may even be great someday. But, Tamera has been awful in her two performances, I don't agree with you that she has been better than any of the four other girls @ judges houses. I don't know if its nerves or she simply doesn't have the vocal talent, but she @ this moment in time is definately not among the two best singers. I don't think any counter argument could dissuade me from my opinion, its very clear to me that there is no evidence to suggest otherwise.IMO.

We will just have to wait and see what happens.

I agree she has been woeful and I think may cause trouble backstage when the tension rises. The girl is not ready yet in any way. Abby is just drippy and boring, a neutered, plainer kate Bush.

I like Abi, she's much more interesting than Melanie (or Luna Lovegood as we call her in our house.)

Luna was very interesting. Abi is boring , what is interesting about her, Flowers in the hair and drippy drippy drippy,mousey mousey, a poor mans Kate bush, VERY POOR.

It does look like it will be a fun-free year. We just have to hope someone gets through that is bad in a funny way, like Danyl and the tubby one from Little Mix.

While I think a few others have more outstanding voices(Sam,Hannah, possibly collectively the new girl band, and the Sottish guy who's name escapes me atm stood out IMO), I give her a lot of credit. She doesn't give up, and she seems like she has the potential to achieve something if given the chance.

Also, I saw this when I checked out a link given here. She can sing with passion , and sound unique. We just haven't seen that in the editing on the show so far.

Watch this, then say she is overrated. Granted, not a very challenging song for a good vocalist with a solid range to manage, but the point is, she more than managed , and I didn't find myself comparing her to Leona's beautiful rendition.

Reckon the OP has an overrated opinion of themselves if they believe they're "special" enough to try and tell everyone else what to think or who to like/dislike. I mean, seriously...

I suspect Abi's image is fake. There are videos of her from earlier this year on Youtube looking confident, chic and stylish. Lo and behold she shows up on X factor as a geeky hippy chick with huge glasses and a flower in her hair.

This sort of things happens on a lot of reality shows.

Without a doubt and I don't really blame her. I smell the hand of the producers behind it (perhaps they watched her Youtube videos and earmarked her for the live shows from the outset).
