X Factor boy group Kingsland have been forced to change their name ahead of judges’ houses.

The five piece boy group are one of six acts flying out to New York for judges’ houses, but will now be known as Kingsland Road.

The change has been made after bosses discovered an American group were already using the name.

No doubt producers made the choice early after two previous issues on the show.

Little Mix were originally called Rhythmix, forced to change their name due to a clash with a music charity.

And One Direction had to fight an expensive legal battle over their name when sued by a US group of the same moniker.

An insider told The Sun newspaper today: “The boys didn’t want to have to change their name but realised it was easier to tweak it now rather than face any legal issues further down the line.”

The X Factor’s new girl group is also having name issues, having twice ditched their potential ideas.

The trio were first called – made up of Rielle Carrington, Jeanette Akua, and SeeSee – were originally called Stop, Look, Listen.

That then changed to Miss Dynamics, but that has also been sidelined.

Speaking on Daybreak yesterday, Jeanette teased the group’s latest new name: “It’s going to start with a Miss, that’s all I’ll say.”

The X Factor continues Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.

----------
X Factor group Code 4 have lost a member after becoming the latest group to fall victim to visa issues.

Trio Rough Copy have already become a duo after band member Kazeem Ajobe was left unable to fly out to American for judges’ houses.

And now Code 4 face becoming Code three after Mark Wyman was forced to stay at home.

The singer’s previous convictions for conspiracy to rob and theft left him unable to acquire a visa to travel to the states for Gary Barlow’s judges’ houses in New York.

A source said: “The issues with Rough Copy were well known, they had to pull out last year over the same situation.

“But it was a shock for Code 4. Mark had been up front about his past but the US rejected his visa application.”

Speaking to The Sun newspaper today, the insider added: “Kazeem was hoping he’d be able to go to the States this year. But the paperwork didn’t come through in time.

“It was just bad luck for Gary that two members of his category had issues.”

With Mark gone, Code 4′s remaining singers Ryan Nembhard, Jermaine Donegal and Jordan Lee will continue in the competition as a trio.

“We’re missing Mark and that’s tough,” Ryan told the tabloid this morning. “We did everything as a four.

“We didn’t think we would end up here as a three.”

The X Factor continues Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.

What happens if those groups (who lost a member) don't make it through to the lives? Back to performing as a whole?

I like the name Kingsland Road.

What is with the "It's going to start with Miss..." all about. I'm sure no one is that gripped to hear their new name. Although I think they should go for Miss Frank II.

The first thing came to me was Miss Moving On (song title by Fifth Harmony)

I like Kingsland Road. That's got a nice ring to it and not too far from the original name.

I wasn't a fan of District3's name change last year.

It's obvious if you have a criminal conviction you aren't getting a visa for the USA so why isn't this checked before the show ?
And Rough Copy should never have been allowed back on either as another group could have got through instead.

Rough Copy's final performance for top 6 was as a duo so they got through ahead of the other groups on their merit as a duo. I think that's fair enough.

Code 4, on the other hand, got their place on the strength of their performance as a foursome so it's more debatable how fair it is that they should still be in the top 6 as a trio that haven't ever been heard as a trio.

I wonder if they'll need to change their name to Code 3

Miss Take? Miss Andry? Miss O'Genie? Miss Calculation? Miss Conception?

Hours of fun to be had with that one.

What about Miss Destiny as it is obvious Gary is trying to create his own Destiny's Child with these three.

Wonder which one will become Beyonce.

Loved your suggestion that if they become a trio they can change their name to Code 3.
Didn't see anything special about these guys any way.
Gary will probably put Rough Copy through ahead of this group.
