I've posted something about this elsewhere, but thought it could do with its own thread.

hen IOS 7 was first released, I noticed a battery drain beyond what might be expected. This was eventually cured by turning off as much as possible, in accordance with the link below, and crucially, following the odd but effective instructions to -

Turn on airplane mode
Turn off ipad
Turn on ipad
Turn off airplane mode.

Sadly, the most recent small update of IOS 7 has set things back to square one!

I'm now seeing a 7% drain from 100% overnight (approx 8 hours), which is not good enough. Tried the trick with Airplane Mode, and this time it doesn't work.

So, has anyone else encountered this, and better yet, found a fix?

Ive seen teh same thing. At first I assumed it was down to the fact that IOS7 seemed to have switched BT on so I switched that off but overall I have noticed a faster drain since I have upgraded. I stil get a fulll days use out of my iPad but the % is a lot lower when I plug in at night than before.

What model of iPad is this?
I have an iPad2 and have not seen any more battery drain since iOS7 than before.
I do not have many apps on in Background refresh, and have Reduce Motion turned off.
I also let the iPad set to auto lock after 15 mins and passcode lock to immediate. So the screen is not always on and I have the Brightness down to about 65%.
Bluetooth is always On.

What model of iPad is this?
It's an iPad4. Every auto update and location service is turned off, and I have it set to auto lock after 5 minutes. These setting were perfect, until this latest incremental update.

Yes, and if it's anything like that last time, the fix will be something that makes no sense, but works. If you find out before me, please post here.
