from the Metro: "Cheryl Cole Joins Team behind One Direction as she plots her Music Comeback"

http://metro.co.uk/2013/10/01/cheryl...eback-4129945/

Quote:
“
Cheryl Cole clearly fancies a taste of One Directions’s global fame as she has ditched manger and best pal Will.i.am for the same management company behind the five lads.

Cole has now joined the team behind the huge success story that is One Direction to try and get a piece of their magic before her music comeback.

Is it worth bracing ourselves this early for a new, grander cheryl era?

She's an absolute idiot, they're horrible at managing solo acts. Most acts do anything to part ways with this management but what does Cheryl do? She goes and joins them, in hope that they make her as successful as 1D. She may be a lot of things but intelligence isn't one of her traits....

She should of stayed with Wil.i.am and the current team. They promoted the hell out of her on her last album and hyped her up beyond belief.

well that's strange. after all the hyping and talk of how close she is with will.i.am and what wonderfully close friends they are, she ditches him for greener pastures...

it won't work though. a solo artist is very very different from a teenage boyband.

Finally 1D gets some talent

Next she'll be turning to Simon Cowell and going back on his talent show

I hope Cheryl doesn't end up regretting her decision to dump Wil.i.am for One Direction's management. I think One Direction only became as big as they are because they got lucky.

ohh modest, Cher Lloyd ditching them was one of the best decisions she ever made

Has she learnt to sing yet?, that is the question.

If she has a fraction of the success of Olly Murs I think she'll be chuffed.

I hated them as management as I was big fans of Leona and Alexandra and they were terrible with them, but to be fair they manage One Direction and Olly really well, so it might work for her.

I read months back that she ditched Will.I.Am and that team is because they were US management, and it was costing her more to have them manage her when she no longer intends to go to the US. She only signed with them once she had joined the US show, she probably should have went back to her old manager Hilary, who was also the GA manager, she was good.

Lol wow. Modest Management is not the way to go, you'd think Cheryl would be wiser after being in the business a while.

I read from the title that she was going to be one of the management team for One Direction

If Mrs O is really only going to do one season, then I would bet any money Cheryl will be gagging to get back by next year. GA are over... her solo career is never at this stage going to reach dizzy heights, if it didn't while she had X-factor behind her. L'Oreal are reportedly not too happy with her arse tattoo given that they have her promoting natural skin products so she could be on a sticky wicket with them. The options suddenly are narrowing for Cheryl and with the demise in ratings of X-factor USA, I can see Simon and Cheryl back on the panel next year with Mrs O and Gary Barlow gone.

This so much. She's not cut out for a solo career.

It depends when Cher Lloyd ditched them (which I don't know). She did work with them at the beginning, so Modest might have launched her in the US depending when their work relationship stopped.

I don't think that they are doing a bad job with everyone... And I am sure that if you look at any management company, they all have their share of success and failures (and semi-successes).

But I don't know what Cheryl hopes to achieve, I think her best days are behind her when it comes to her carreer. But who knows, we'll see.

As much as I hate Cheryl's tattoo, I don't believe that L'Oreal would part company with her because of it. She promotes their hair products and has extensions! It would be totally hypocritical of them.

I cannot see Cheryl making it in America. She isn't exactly talented for tv or music, doesn't have a great personality and cannot sing very well. She also doesn't have youth on her side.
This is my opinion. I believe she only has looks on her side. I do think she will be back on X Factor next year, replacing Nicole.

I am not a fan of Chery Lloyd, but she can sing, even if it isn't to my taste and does have youth on her side, so it is not surprising to see her doing well over there.

She should've stayed with Will.I.Am Modest Management aren't the best and they've ruined Leona hopefully she'll part ways. Cheryl is going to regret this decision in the end.

will.i.am has hardly worked wonders for her. Within a few weeks of him taking over she ended up out of a job in the US and unable to return to the UK show then her next albums sales dropped substantially. As far as I'm aware she hasn't picked up any major endorsement deals of late either. Throw in the fact that he's in the US and she has no presence out there whatsoever, it's quite remarkable that the arrangement lasted as long as it did.
