If there are Wildcards...

How late would they usually leave it to pick them? Would it be possible that the contestants don't even know yet?...

Last year it was straight after the love shows then we got to vote one of the acts from the four catergorys back in.

I'm trying to remember personally how long it took for us to find out there'd be wildcard actually. I think it was earlier last year than this, so I don't think there's going to be one at this rate. Oh well.

This thread was started on the 30/9 last year and shows just how in touch with the general public DS was

The wildcard announcement was made at the end of the Judges House episode, so there's still time. They change the format of how the wildcard is chosen from year to year, so anything is possible.

We simply don't know as it's unclear when they would opt to bring in wildcards....there is a different format for wildcards every year.

Last year we got Christopher over Times Red... (If anyone ever calls Louis "in the closet," I simply point out he said "I don't know who would vote for you," to them....how about every person who is attracted to men, Louis, )

If that's the type of wildcard....they can keep it.

Oh please. It wasn't about DS being out of touch with the public. It was because the public fell for Maloney's poor acting - the sympathy vote.

I doubt if even a wildcard will save Melanie.

In 2010, they found out a few days before the live show.

I'd prefer it if there wasn't a wildcard vote - it was just chosen by the judges/producers.

The judges were probably told who to choose to go to the lives and then told who to pick as a wildcard

Mrs O will therefore not choose Joe to go through and then have an amazing change of mind and pick him as a wildcard

Which is why I have this strong feeling that if there is wildcards, the 3 girls will indeed be Abi, Hannah and Tamera and whereas Nicole will almost certainly want to choose Melanie as her wildcard, the producers will force her to pick Jade instead.

Okay, DS being out of touch with what the majority of the voting public felt.

After all the palaver about Hannah being persuaded to throw her friends under the bus the producers will want her in the lives one way or another

Nobody would be brought into the live shows if they didn't even make it to judges houses

Actually, I think if it was nicole's decision she would likely pick jade. Just the comment at BC re not feeling melanie until now, whereas in the past she said she would love to work with Jade.

We'll witness more contrived scenes as she pops round to his house to deliver the good news, with more footage of him playing the doting dad.
