Any Humax HDR-1000S MKV issues?
Hooked up my 1TB external HD lasted night to see what video the hdr-1000s could handle
avi mp4 and mpg2 all good. 3gp, vro (sony) and mov could not be seen (expected) mkv played for a few seconds then froze requiring a full power off reset ![]() mkv file was a camcorder dvd to mkv convertion (H264 video file and AC3 5.1 audio, via makemkv): |

I have a mini dvd camcorder, it has two modes .vro or .vob files. I started with vro files they were a pain to play, edit and convert. I eventually got them imported and converted to mpeg2 with ulead software.
So I have camcorder files in .mpeg and .vob, digital camera files in .mov and phone files in .3gp. I am planning to convert them all to one format mkv avi or mp4 and access them from the hdr-1000S via external drive. I am thinking mp4 now as my current mobile phone uses this format. Think it would be cool to have access to all my photos, music & videos through the box. |
