A four part wildlife documentary on Britain's changing seasons.

Started tonight at 9pm. Narrator is Joseph Fiennes. He begins by saying "we are an island nation...an extraordinary land".

It looks very good so far and the cinematography is stunning (and we're only 10 minutes in).

Anybody else watching?

You can say that again!

He's spent far too much time in America, and now has an exaggerated 'British' accent that sounds fake and irritating.

I love wildlife, but I've stopped watching.

I thought he sounded different.

Why not put it on mute? It'd be a shame to miss the wildlife and scenery.

Well I'm enjoying it. The voiceover hasn't bothered me.

Quite. He sounds exactly as he always has. The only reason I realised it was him was because it sounds just like Shakespeare in Love/Elizabeth.

Excellent!

But I agree with Fiennes being quite dreadful

His voice is boring and monotonous

He's been watching too much David Attenborough.

I'm just catching up with the second episode, repeated today.

This truly is a wonderfully presented nature series.

And I love our British nature, scenery and wildlife. The seahorses are gorgeous.

Absolutely stunning photography, well chosen (and not overly loud) music, great flow from season to season and the narration was spot on - interesting, humorous and with accurate inflection. First time I've actually noticed a good narration on any programme.

The four programmes are just superb.

Fascinating making of too, with the Time Lapse help - from the public.
