An obvious one.....The Usual Suspects.
I guessed that one but only because I knew there was a twist coming.

I'd say one of the biggest twists I've ever seen was in the film Japanese Story.

I definitely want to check out some of the ones mentioned here.

I was lucky enough to watch The Sixth Sense without anyone having spoiled it for me, and without my knowing that there was going to be a twist (I gather that this particular film is famous for people spoiling the secret for other people who haven't seen it).

In The Village, I spotted the twist within the first few minutes - partly because I knew that it was by the same director and that there was going to be a twist. The twist was so obvious for me that I assumed that there would be another twist at the end, and I kept looking out for clues to what it would be - but there wasn't one.

can someone tell me what the twist was..i seen the film and found it all confusing lol..spoilers please incase no one seen it
Spoiler

Honestly I would need to recap most of the film to explain it properly, but it's been so long since I watched it that I'm not sure I could do so. The kicker is at the end though.

Like others, I knew the twist in Shutter Island because I'd read the novel a few years earlier.

The twist was obvious then too.

Just speaking of the same director I remember thinking when seeing Signs how good the twist was but then looked back and just thought, "What an awful ending!"

Actually as mentioned above, Skyfall I wouldn't have considered a twist but I was definitely left feeling WTF?!

Recently saw that film for the first time. I knew there was a twist, but didn't know what it was.

It blew me away.

I basically watch all films now assuming there will be a twist. and it will turn out to be the person who is most implausible.

LA Confidential - Kevin Spacey goes for a chat with his boss & Rollo Tomasi.
Yes, that was a twist. It was really surprising and ruthless at the same time.

not mentioned here, but The Illusionist was full of unexpected twists.

just watched The Debt. Very unexpected plot twist in that, too.

(And who would have thought that Soylent Green was people.)

The Last Broadcast (1998) - influence on The Blair Witch Project.

Kill List (2011) - not really a good twist mind you.

Well, this is not strictly a twist, but I like to see Ripley using the power loader to move heavy stuff near the start of Aliens, and then unexpectedly coming out in the power loader again to fight the alien queen at the end.
