'Dark Harbor'.

I did not see the twist coming at all. It was only on watching it a second time that I saw the clues were there all through the film. Amazing.

This film is quite hard to find these days, but someone has put it up on YouTube (in installments).

Oh, and I agree with 'No Way Out'. I love that film. Not only because it has the wonderful Gene Hackman in it, but also because Kevin Costner looks gorgeous in his uniform. Oh yes, and the twist too.

Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry.
Not a twist at all, it's just a surprise/shock ending.

And yet you started a thread inviting people to discuss them. Then bumped it after it had been dormant for three years - thus dragging them all up again, lest anyone had forgotten them - inviting people to post all new ones.

Spectre has a pretty surprise reveal part-way through. Yes, I know lots of people will probably say it was obvious from the outset and it's true that there was a lot of fevered Internet speculation, but I chose to ignore it and go into watching it with an open mind, so it was still something of a surprise to me

I'd like to know movies with twists to watch but not the actual twist.. nothing wrong with that?

I watched Father Ted and I got the Crying Games ruined because they basically told us the twist in one of the episodes.. I mean seriously!?

And the start of Arrow season 1 episode 1 ruined the ending of the TV show LOST for my friend who hasn't watched LOST yet..

Does the ending of Don't Look Now qualify ?

Certainly a shocker and we were led to expect his daughter..not what we got.

Just mustn't have been paying attention or Christian Bale wasn't famous enough at the time but I didn't see the Prestige twist coming.

There's a very decent horror called Just Before Dawn that had a good twist in it as well that you don't see coming...even though they signal it.

And of course Fight Club for the win...didn't see that one coming.

Brilliant film, and there's another twist at the end... Also quite a topical theme.

Here's two movies which disturbed me, both with twists, but I won't say where the twists are.. You'll have to watch them....

Kill List

Funny Games (the original)

Some people make an effort to have a film's twist spoilt for them, then they can spend a lot of time whingeing about it and seeking pity hugs. The thread is about twists in films, so it's bound to contain spoilers.

Oldboy (original) has a good twist. The very last scene is very unsettling and disturbing, too.

You can offer suggestions and cover the actual twist up with spoiler tags, I mean I love movies with twists so would love to know so even though I will know the movie has a twist I don't know exactly what it is.

I don't think that's asking too much to say the movie name and cover the actual twist with spoiler tags for people yet to see the movie? I think it's very reasonable, actually.

Not so much a twist but something that I didn't see coming was a certain scene in the original 'The Hitcher'.

Sadly, Rutger Hauer has made very little of note since.

Been a while since I've seen it, but what's the twist in Blue Velvet?
