Forgot to post about this but had this phone last month as a free upgrade from Three, but seeing as it wasn't an upgrade from my own phone I sold it on. But before I sold it I thought I'd put my SIM card in and have a play before I sold it, and also checking that it works ok before selling.

So I went about putting the SIM card in to check it. Upon slotting it in I realised how tight it was, then I started to panic, how on earth would it come back out. So I tried and tried just putting my finger ontop and sliding outwards and it wouldn't move an inch. Ended up using a sharp knife.............

I mean really? If it's a push in design then how are you meant to get it back out? Surely there should be an ejection button or a tool like iPhones?

Do you really have to struggle like I did or was I missing something?

Yes you are missing something .

It's called a SIM removal tool

You can get one from any phone shop or it should have come with a new phone , especially if it's Micro SIM .

I know on my Z1 you get a little tray holder thingy (technical I know) and even then it was a bit fiddly.

It was an upgrade phone so yes brand new, never saw a removal tool in the box? Or is it like some new phones where it's packed inside a booklet and attached to one of the pages? If so that's why I might have missed it? Pretty sure there wasn't anything though.

And this particular phone didn't have a removable sim tray, just an arrow pointing towards the slot and a picture showing which way you push it in.

Shame there were no instructions on removing it once it's clicked into place and doesn't have even 1mm of card sticking out to grab hold of. Lol

You don't need a tool. you just push it a little more, there is a click and the SIM pops back out.

Thats what i thought and tried, it did indeed push down alittle when it place but it didnt come back out, it just stopped in the same ''locked'' position?

Oh well i sold it 1-2months ago, the guy tried it before leaving so it must have worked. Hopefully he wont try removing the sim card any time soon lol
