There are also people older than Tony who are twice as fit as he is.

Thanks for the spoiler. I'm a bit sad but relieved that Tony is the first boot.

I'm sad because he seems such a lovely guy and might have been nice to see him try another gentle ballroom routine which could have boosted his confidence if he'd been able to pull it off, but I think it's probably for the best he goes because he was obviously struggling and could have been detrimental to his health if he stayed. Such a sweet guy though.

He's very tubby isn't he. The contrast with the footage of him when younger was really sad to see.

Wow, looks like you all had a fab night last night - sorry I missed it.

Well done Alli - a sterling job on the time guess list Am back next week, so will resume duties if you like.

Think Alli had a good idea closing the list to make it fair for the early choosers - I think it should be closed about 9:30pm - what does everyone else think?

I seriously admire your work after doing that for one week, it was horrendous. I have never been so stressed in all my life. you are AMAZING!!!!!

I agree about the 9.30, by the way, it's not fair if you pop in at 10.30 and go for 10.47 for example when some picked their time on Friday.

Good idea. I will be back to select a time early next weekend.

Totally agree with you. Only the Jive would have been more unsuitable for him. I wonder, with what motive was his dance chosen? I know everyone undergoes a health check but to see Tony seeming to suffer was upsetting. I hate to see anyone humiliated too.

Hello everyone. Back for another year.
Wasn't planning to get on the DSpy site until the outliers had been shaken out but you are all so hard to resist.
Not sure how good this series is going to be but will give it. A go.

I haven't got a favourite yet - will need to see more to be sure.

I too agree that Tony was humiliated - twice in fact as not only was his dance completely unsuitable for a week 2 dance for an older person but his dress was bizarre too. He was turned into the joke contestant last night and I think it was most unfair to a charming sporting legend.

I am completely bemused at the choice of dances for all of the celebs for the first 2 weeks of the series. We have never seen AS or Charleston so early and I don't understand the rationale behind the choices. Who decided this year? The producers or the professionals? Most odd all round.

Welcome back, abigailsmum. I think it is an excellent idea to close the time guess list at 9:30 as that is more than enough time for us to have a go. There were far more last night than I have ever seen before so I have the deepest admiration for Alli-F and Meoqui who had a really difficult job.

Hi again everybody.

Usual strange scores from the judges.

How is the Beeb going to control multi-voting on line

Heavenly told me she would do a report of her experience sometime today (if anyone is interested).

She had a great time but it was exhausting.
