Just thinking of buying the HDR Fox T2. Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to use the TV portal while TV programs are being recorded.

yes, it is completely indepedent... never tried to see if the bugger fills up with the last selected live channel too (I suspect not) so you should be able to record two channels and use the portal at the same time. With the custom fimrware you can save the youtube / iplayer program to an MP4 on the box too.
