Sent my songs off. This theme doesn't really go well with Overs but i think i have chosen the best songs i can. Hope Soppyfan hasn't chosen any of my songs though eek.

Two sets of song choices in so far. Thank you both for sending them in early.

Well, we'll have to wait and find out. I don't tend to do well with today's music but the nostalgia stuff is where I tend to shine.

Spanner, I really need to know your acts.

Still waiting for Spanner's acts and two sets of song choices. Remember, the deadline is tomorrow.

Like I once said on my game, hosting games during September/October tend to be very time-limiting for many people due to commitments outside DS.

Guys, unfortunately Spanner is unable to judge and mentor this series due to outside commitments so we are therefore a judge down. So, I am looking for somebody to be able to join the panel and mentor the Girls category. I may have to slightly delay this week's show if we don't find anyone in time.

OK, I can exclusively announce that EddyEgal has agreed to join the panel and will mentoring the Girls category. Thank you ever so much.

Eddy is now going to reveal his contestants for the live shows. When you are ready Eddy, feel free to post them.

Also, I will give an extended deadline to Tuesday so Eddy has a bit more time to choose his songs. If you need another day, just say.

Good news indeed. Welcome aboard Eddy.

Hey everyone, thanks for having me on the panel. I'm loving the concept of this game, I think this should be a great competition. I'm really happy to be taking over the girls category, there are some very strong girls this year on both sides of the pond. Alright so I've made my decisions. My category consists of three UK contestants, and two US contestants.

The first girl through to my final five is...

Spoiler
Abi Alton: I love this girl. She has a certain aura about her that just draws people in. Despite her subtle unique haunting vocals, I actually think she has a strong voice. Abi is my kind of artist, so I'll look forward to choosing appropriate songs for her to perform.

The second girl through is...
Spoiler
Jade Richards: Jade has been a personal favourite of mine ever since her audition back in 2011. I'm surprised she hasn't made it further in the UK competition, hopefully she'll make it through this year. Putting the real show aside, I think she stands with a strong chance of doing well in this DS competition. She has a powerful and raspy voice that I'll look forward to working with.

Thirdly...
Spoiler
Rylie Brown: My first US artist Again, she's another very unique performer. I love her voice and I think she's actually quite versatile. She can be pop or country which should be interesting. She's definitely a contender.

The fourth girl who will be competing is...
Spoiler
Danielle Geimer: My second and final US girl. I love how she's so shy and socially awkward off stage, and then on stage she literally comes alive. I loved her first audition, and I think she'll go far in this game as well as the US X Factor.

Finally...
Spoiler
Tamera Foster: I couldn't overlook her, could I? Despite being one of the favourites this year, Tamera doesn't seem overly popular here on DS. I'm going to take a risk and hopefully it will pay off. In my opinion, Tamera is a 'little popstar' (Excuse the Louis Walsh line ). She adds something different to the category, something my other contestants don't have. I'm really looking forward to choosing her songs, it should be interesting

So that's it. I'm very happy with this category, I think it has the scope to do well in the competition. Let's see what happens. Fellow judges, bring it on

Great choice of girls there, Eddy. I'll be sure to keep looking over my shoulder.

After watching judges houses...I am SO glad that I picked XYRA and Brick City.

Jade Richards is being replaced by Ellona Santiago.
Soppyfan
07-10-2013
That means he'll have three US girls instead of two.

Yeah, sorry about that guys... I made a sudden U-Turn

I think my song choices are pretty much sorted, I just need to find an appropriate cover for one particular song

Mentoring five acts is definitely more challenging...

Yes, mentoring five is indeed a big challenge. I was involved in this before and it was hard to pay attention to five boys at once.

Also, I think we should have you-tube links to the 20 acts so that everyone gets a rough idea of who and what they sound like in case we have viewers who don't know who they are.

I shall provide those tomorrow.

Song choices sent

Thanks Eddy. Just waiting for one more set of songs. Running order should be with you all later. Are we still ok for tomorrow or is Thursday better?

Also, Eddy! One of your songs choices has been chosen I'm afraid already.

Mitch has until 6.30 to submit his songs otherwise all his acts will receive a voting penalty and his songs will be chosen by either another mentor or myself.

No problem, I've messaged you with a new song
ElectricBoy171

OK, it doesn't look like Mitch is going to send his song choices by 6.30pm so his five acts will suffer a three point voting penalty. I have spare songs for four of his acts, but if anyone has a song for Nicholas Mcdonald that would be helpful as I can then send you all the running order
