There were a few Elton John programmes on BBC4 last night and I just thought I'd ask :
What is your favourite Elton John song ?
Mine is "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road". I think it's just brilliant
Oh yes - you can only choose ONE song !

Ooh where to start?
I don't even own all his albums but the ones that I do have I love many songs on there...

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is awesome and definitely up there.... but i also love Goodbye from Madman across the water, it's so haunting!

Ok, if I have to choose just 1 it'll probably be Funeral for a Friend (love lies bleeding) with close runners up being GYBR, Goodbye, Benny and the Jets and The way you look tonight!

Rocket Man is my choice. However, Elton hasn't recorded a great since 1983 for me.

So many classics from his early career to choose from.

Impossible to pick one, but Your Song still stands up well.

That song is just perfection, powerful and beautiful! Elton's finest right there!

Generally agree that he hasn't done much in the last 30/40 years ..........apart from 'I Want Love' which is a great tune

Was released about 2001

This is my favourite too. Fantastic song. I love Believe too. His 90's stuff was pretty good.

Also Healing Hands - which I always found far superior to Sacrifice.

We All Fall In Love Sometimes/ Curtains.
The last two tracks on Captain Fantastic. I'm picking them as one as they play into one another on the album.

Undoubtedly Benny and the Jets, however Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word are very close, then followed by many others.

I love Elton.
