5 characters axed in cast shake-up

Doug Carter, Ash Kane, Will Savage, George Smith and Vincent Elegba have all been officially axed from Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, The news came today as new producer sugarandspice took the reigns after just five days of being in the role, The characters have been axed as part of a big cast shake-up and will all leave before the year is out.

New producer sugarandspice revealed he wants to keep the show at its best, Vincent Elegba, Doug Carter and George Smith will all leave in brief circumstances it has been confirmed however Will Savage and Ash Kane will have explosive exits The sun reports.

Holly Weston who plays Ash Kane also revealed on twitter today that her exit would be coming up soon "Reading over final few scripts today #Nervous @OfficialHollyoaks", More axing's are expected to follow.

Hollyoaks cast Esther Bloom's mother

Hollyoaks today announced that Zoe Lucker would be joining them in a permanent role as Esther Bloom's mother Vicky, Vicky is the first signing since the show has been under the power of new EP sugarandspice, Vicky is expected to make her first appearance this November.

Billed as trashy, loud and foul-mouthed Vicky is the exact opposite of daughter Esther, Vicky is expected to arrive in Hollyoaks after she gets a phone call from Ruby who thinks she is doing Esther a favour but it only causes chaos for the family, Vicky will also supposedly clash with Esther's grandmother Frankie Osborne

Zoe said on the role "Its exciting doing something like this and Vicky is a very complex and exciting character to play I just cant wait to start playing her".

Hollyoaks : Dog explosion revealed

Hollyoaks crew today announced details of the huge dog explosion taking place the week begging the 21st of September, The explosion taking place will see many village resident's lives put in danger when the blast takes place, Sinead O'Connor will be at the hands of the explosion as she hides a bag away in the cellar thinking there is money it planning to meet Freddie Roscoe at the back with the money Sinead opens the bag but is stunned when a huge bomb goes off, The stunt has cost a record breaking amount of money for Hollyoaks and will see some of our favourite characters die within the blast, Frankie, Ziggy, Ruby, Sinead, Sienna, Darren, Esther, Jack, Trevor, Sandy, Joe and Lindsey are just some of the characters who will be caught up in the blast.

The huge stunt will be just one of the storylines marking Hollyoaks 18th anniversary, The week of events will be dubbed as the Dog: Days and teasers on the website have been released with characters looking burnt and injured, The special week has also used the tagline Who will make out the blast?, It is currently unknown who is likely to die in the blaze as the characters featured have not announced their departures, Hollyoaks airs weeknights on Channel 4 at 6:30pm and E4 at 7:00pm.

Hollyoaks announce new character

Rose Williams has been officially cast in a new role for Hollyoaks playing Daisy Black the daughter of new villain Fraser Black and sister of Clare Devine, The character set to arrive next month will be one to spice up the village sources have speculated, 18 year old Daisy is confident, brassy and older than her age, Daisy also does not know what life her dad leads but has a feisty relationship with sister Clare,

Set to arrive next month, Daisy will send heads turning in her direction, New EP sugarandspice said of her casting "Rose is a great addition to the cast and Daisy is one character you don't want to miss she's very mysterious and complex, she's not villainous like her father and sister but does have a nasty streak which seems to pass through the Black family" Rose also quoted that she was overwhelmed with the news "It's great playing such a complex character and Daisy is definitely the favourite role I have played to date in anything, I just hope the viewers like her as much as I do".

Sinister Sienna advert released

Sienna Blake it seems will finally get her comeuppance for her recent behaviour and wrong-doing's after Channel 4 released a quick 20 second teaser for the character's comeuppance, The teaser shows quick shots of Sienna's erratic behaviour showing Sienna acting nice then being evil in other's word's flash up in between shots which all together say "Evil takes form in one woman" a final shot shows Sienna being taking away in hand-cuffs and a voice-over then says "The net is closing in on sinister Sienna".

As the teaser shows Sienna will be jailed however no more details have been released over how or when she will be jailed, The teaser also states that Sienna is going to be caught out after the statement "The net is closing in on sinister Sienna", Jessica Fox who plays Sienna's enemy Nancy Osborne also sated on the storyline "I know people think the storyline's dragging out but the twist at the end is one to wait for" which also proves that the storyline will be drawing to and end soon.

Mother and Son duo announced for Hollyoaks

Carol Moses and Daniel Anthony have both been officially cast in new roles for Hollyoaks, Mother and Son duo Lizzie and Ryan Murphy will arrive in Hollyoaks late this year Lizzie in November and Ryan in December as Lizzie is offered a new job at Hollyoaks High, Lizzie however is an old former flame of Tony Hutchinson and is shocked when she see's what state he is in when she discovers he has cancer, Carol has begun filming for her role as Lizzie and Ryan will start in a few weeks time, Ryan however has been confirmed not to be Tony's son.

The mother and son duo are the second cast announcements under new EP sugarandspice after upcoming character Daisy Black (Rose Williams) was announced a few days ago, Ryan's character has been confirmed to be homosexual and will have a big storyline coming up in 2014, Lizzie and Tony will also have a great friendship sources have confirmed however Tony's girlfriend Diane O'Connor (Alex Fletcher) will not be impressed with their closeness, Lizzie and Ryan have also been speculated to be involved in a racism storyline which will see both the characters at the hands of nasty taunts
off Robbie Roscoe.

Lizzie and Ryan are set to have big impact's on the village and certainly wont let viewers down with the drama they bring with them.
