Alan Carr Says NO! To - "BRUCIE BASHING"-Sir Bruce, Yes To-Celebrate? or OK To Bash?.

Alan Carr Says NO! To - "BRUCIE BASHING" - Living Legend Sir Bruce - To Celebrate A Living Legend or Not To Celebrate a living legend, that is the question?

It was great to hear Alan Carr sticking up for Sir Bruce on National Television and saying that he did not like all the "Brucie Bashing" that's going on. Three cheers for the common decency from Alan Carr.

Many people would say that it is a shame that there is so much "Brucie Bashing" going on and that so many people are rejoicing and celebrating while Sir Bruce is lying in bed ill.

Personally in my opinion I do feel that this sort of thing is in very poor taste.

Do you think we should be celebrating and enjoying our very own Living Legend and National Treasure Sir Bruce while we have the opportunity or is the "Brucie Bashing" OK?

" Sam Prescott ‏@SPrescott2611 Im not liking the bashing Brucie is receiving cause he apparently wasnt presenting Strictly tonight #BrucieBashing. #NiceToSeeYouToSeeYou... "

Why not post this in one of your other multiple Bruce threads?

Can I suggest no one else post after me.

See you had second thoughts and edited your post mimi

I didn't see the comment being made Terry, so not sure of the context or tone. However, maybe Mr Carr is lining himself up to take over from Bruce, which makes me shudder a little.

This is fresh news from last night on a new topic and your opinions would be most welcome here about the topic of "Brucie Bashing" be they good or bad.

Everyone else is also very welcome to state their opinions here about "Brucie Bashing" also whether they be good or bad.

Alan Carr was quite rightly defending Sir Bruce against "Brucie Bashing" and his tone was very supportive of Sir Bruce, he probably thinks that it is disgraceful that people feel the need to engage in behaviour to attack and 'Bash' Sir Bruce while he is laying in bed and ill.

After all the "Brucie Bashing" going on today, I'm glad that I do not have to be ashamed of myself and that I don't need to look at myself very closely or hang my head in shame.

If I were to kick an injured footballer or boxer when he was down I would expect to get sent off or disqualified, but if I were to engage in "Brucie Bashing" I would be regarded as one of the cliquey gang and held aloft as a worthy champion, its a strange world that we live in.

It was great to hear Tess on National TV last night slamming the 'Brucie Bashers'

" speaking on Alan Carr: Chatty Man last night, Tess Daly slammed those who accuse Brucie of being too old to carry on with the demands of the ballroom competition.

“How dare they? Bruce has been in showbusiness for 70 years. He’s the consummate pro," she said. “His posture is incredible, and he dances across the floor and exercises morning and night.” "

She'd have to say that wouldn't she? She couldn't be seen agreeing with the public that Bruce should retire and we've been saying that for the past few years now, before he got flu.

Sir Bruce is hitting back against his "Brucie Bashing" Critics in the Daily Mail,

" Only recently has Bruce battled against his critics, who argued that the iconic TV star is finding it difficult to keep up with the demands of hosting the energetic show that is Strictly Come Dancing.

Responding to his critics, the veteran entertainer said: ‘When I read those suggestions that I was struggling, I really laughed.’ "

" When asked about his future, the star whose career in the business has spanned 74 years, added: ‘I know it’s a huge talking point but I’m really looking forward to the rest of the series. I hope everybody else enjoys it too.’ "

Alan Carr has raised this "Brucie Bashing" topic on National tevevision, who else thinks that this new sport is in bad taste especially when this 85 year old entertainer is laying in his sick bed?

I hate the nasty remarks about Bruce. I think he is part of the show, and should stay as long as he wants to. I think it's great that someone of his age is still on TV presenting a big show like Strictly.

FF made those comments before the series started - it isn't new.

If you put your head above the parapet (as everyone who puts themselveas into the public eye does) then you can expect to be shot at - it's part of the job.

Perhaps Mr Carr is hoping for a similar amount of TV longevity and is getting his campaigning in early.

Take care of yourself and live a healthy lifestyle and you might live long enough to find out. After all we all want to live as long as Bruce Forsyth and still be able to hold down a job at the same time.

It wasn't particularly a criticism of Mr Carr, more of an observation.

I'm not planning on still working at Bruce's age myself, but each to their own.

Its a shame that Gary Bushell appears to be joining this new sport of "Brucie Bashing" by making some quite unpleasant comments in The Daily Star on Sunday.

" BRUCIE is taking a break from Strictly for medical reasons. He’s attending his annual autopsy. "

" How much longer must we pretend this old bore is a national treasure? Rigor mortis sets in every time he starts a gag. You’d have more fun going for a winter flu jab. "

I can't really imagine that anyone would agree with these unpleasant comments.

What a distasteful comment. It's outrageous!

It was good to see The Daily mirror coming to Sir Bruce's defence this week as did Alan Carr by insisting that Sir Bruce's doddery act is all part of the shows success, this reinforces Brucies reputation as a top entertainer and shows that the vocal minority who constantly seem to be deriding Sir Bruce are misguided in what they say.

" Bruce Forsyth's doddering all part of Strictly Come Dancing success story "

Who else is looking forward to Sir Bruce proving his detractors wrong again tonight ?

Bash or praise; his legacy; what he's able to do at his age. All IMMATERIAL to the issue. The issue is not if we should have a tribute to him or honour him. The issue is that today, he is by far the worst part of that show and unfortunately, we're stuck with him.

Terry, you must be watching old episodes of his game shows, as on Strictly, his detractors are right every week.

And if you look at the state of some people, what a role model he is.

What an amazing turn around, instead of the Brucie Bashers Bashing Brucie they have started Bashing Peter Andre's jokes and praising our Brucie, its either a satanavian miracle or a sign that Christmas must be coming lol, what do you think ?

It was Fabulous to see Brucie on Alan Carrs chatty Man the other night, they were both on top form and had the audience in stitches.

It was also a great Christmas tonic to hear Brucie say that he has no plans to retire yet and is even planning a Special new show next year after he returns from his holiday in Purto Rico.

Not long to go now till Brucie is back at the helm for another Strictly Final, who else can't wait ?

It was a fabulous show gilly and another reason why we should celebrate Brucie at the helm of Strictly every week.

I think they tell bruce what to do at times and badly script his job as well. The producers of scd are so lazy its unreal.
