Anyway, I have a few things to say about what’s been going on lately. Okay here goes.
Drama. Lately this has been all our fandom is. I’ve seen so many people deactivating or threatening to deactivate. Now, I know people have personal reasons for this but some are deactivating because they think they’ll never meet Luke. Ngl this is really stupid. It’s been like 2 months after The X Factor ended, it’s only the start of his career, there are going to be so many opportunities to meet Luke. All deactivating does is make you lose out on this fandom and make Luke sad. He actually blamed himself for all of this drama, it was legit so sad to see.
Okay next thing; hate. This is a massive subject bc I see it all the time. This fandom is one of the cutest but also one of the most jealous I’ve seen. Any girl Luke gets close to some of y’all make accusations and rumours that they’re going out. Wtf. A boy can be friends with a girl, you know. The things some of y’all say to each other makes me sick. How can you sit there on anon and tell someone to kill themselves? It’s vile. We’re meant to be a family.
Then there’s hating on people bc they meet Luke a lot. What does it matter if someone goes to see their fave when they’re in their city? You’d do the same. I’ve always been under the radar in this fandom until recently bc of the insta video. Suddenly I go from speaking to a few friendies to having loads of new friends and followers. I was great bc I felt so loved, but jealous people always have to go and ruin it. I saw mutual indirecting about me and my friends ON MY TL. Excuse me but if it’s on my tl I’m going to see it lol. One mutual said I couldn’t sing; I respect your opinion but it does actually hurt my feelings. My friends and Luke asked me to sing and he said he liked it so I guess I’m not that bad okay bye.
Then people started asking me about how to meet Luke. People who’d never spoken to me before suddenly dmed me asking where he was. Now, I don’t know about you but I’d say that these people were using me. I know it’s not all of you bc y’all are lovely but it was annoying to know that people only talked to me so I could help them meet him. Then when I said I couldn’t tell them they turned on me. Like wtf? No means no. It would have been disrespectful to Luke if I told everyone and he had 50 fans everywhere he went. I’m sorry that I couldn’t help you meet him but I’d made a promise okay.
Cliques. In every fandom you’re going to find a group of friends that you find yourself comfortable with. It’s natural. It happens everywhere, like in school there are always friendship groups. But that doesn’t mean you can’t be friends with other people too. People have started pointless drama about an imessage group claiming they exclude everyone else and stuff. That’s nonsense. I’m good friends with people in that group chat and they are the sweetest people I know. Have a problem? Make your own okay, don’t be hating on my babies.
Favourites. Ugh this annoys me sooooo much like you don’t even understand. Luke does not have favourites. I don’t know where you got this idea from. We ALL helped him through his X Factor journey to get him to where he is now, and he truly does love us all the same. Just because he hasn’t tweeted you yet doesn’t mean he doesn’t adore you. You have to understand that he gets thousands of tweets a day and he can’t reply to every single one. I’m not even famous and I find it hard to reply to all my interactions so imagine how hard it is for him.
Okay there’s so much more to say but this is already over 700 words lol. Don’t know what I wanted to achieve with this but at least I got it off my chest.
Remember: Luke loves you. And he creeps a lot so he sees all the drama. Peace out ly xx
