I agree the poll isn't really important. The winner only wins a certificate? It's the principle behind it. It just seems wrong that the act that finished ninth and isn't even on the tour should finish ahead of the act that came 3rd. Luke had to work hard to achieve that - survive three sing offs - they were eliminated on their second?
